You do, but sans artbook I think. Check the link out:

Either cancel your pre-order or if your retailer refuses to do so, write to Arksys asking for a refund, might want to mention the words, "false advertising" and "trading standards" in the e-mail.
If both keep trying to fob you off to the other, try writing to Computer Active with information about this, they solve stuff like this quite often I think.

Damn...I was decieved hopefully since my friend is a manager at gamestop I can still get that damn book from him somehow
Unlike a few others in this thread, I'm not yet willing to call Aksys a bunch of crooks - this was almost certainly ASW's call and the only reason for this that I can think of that doesn't involve an intense hatred of money on the part of ASW is that they have found a European publisher for the game. Makes sense, seeing how Battle Fantasia managed to get a release here despite having pretty much zero hype. I just hope we don't have to wait as long!
(Of course, this assumes that Aksys were acting in good faith when they made the announcement in the first place, but my point about BF still stands.)
"I totally understand your obsession with Ryu. Isn't he just dreamy?"
I concur.
The only sensible path in this, from where I sit....is that they locked the region in anticipation of doing a European release.
Otherwise it makes absolutely no sense to cut off a market share for no apparent reason.
Here's to hoping that a Europe version comes out in the very near future.
Today, I was traveling in Kenya and I met a refugee from Zimbabwe. He said he hadn't eaten anything in over 3 days and looked extremely skinny and unhealthy. Then my friend offered him the rest of the sandwich he was eating. The first thing the man said was, "We can share it."
Meh in that case heres hoping that it isn't published by 505 games (they actualy cut out the voices from story mode).
And in that case it's still rather dodgey as region locking just seems like just an excuse to make sure they can fix us up with higher prices then America and Japan since we can't import.
(Just glad the ps3 is region free, at least there is some hope for us EU gamers.)

Man, why does Europe get screwed over like this? I hope the best for you guys, I don't want to miss anyone on the fighting arena.![]()
I just don't want europe to be late on the BB scene cause then it won't be as fun a game competivly
I swear to God. If I come back into this thread and people are still asking if you get the art book or not when you pre order in stores, I will shut off the internet.

Alright folks, I know everyone here that's outside of the US has been waiting for a reply on this region lock situations. So here's the lowdown, we recently found out that the US version of the game will be region locked to US and Asia. This I believe goes for the JPN/Asia versions as well. I’m not 100% sure, so don’t quote me on this.
The bottom line is that Aksys Games does not have any rights to BlazBlue outside of the US, and the region coding was in accordance with our contract and was not a conscious decision by us.
Believe me when I say we are trying to do everything in our power for this community. I don't sit here daily and post on SRK and Dustloop just to chat with the community and hype up a game for my health. As some of you know me personally, I love the community and the fighting games we bring to it. So, for me to break all the good mojo and work we’ve put into this community puts a damper on everyone’s mood here at Aksys.
With that said, the PS3 version is region free like all other PS3 titles. But, it is a real alternative for folks that want to play BlazBlue on day one and battle folks online.
Again, we apologize for this and I hope you guys continue to support us going forward.
Thanks for giving us a response. Sucks that you were forced into region locking it. But why US/Asia specifically? Seems strange to make the US, English language version playable on both US and Asian consoles but not European.
Why did people at Aksysgames tell us that it would be region free?
Simply because they really did not know the contract? o_o
~ Thanks for response
in nutshell, between when we informed you guys till recently, something changed for us so we can't do anything beyond that change
Things happened, can't make everyone happy. You guys did a great job with the game and doing everything possible to keep the community happy and for that I thank you for the work you guys put forth![]()

I just hope Aksys continues to support Blazblue post release, even with this mishap (even though it doesn't really affect me since I'm getting the PS3 version anyways), balance tweaks or such will hopefully continue to happen (though it seems unlikely since no Fighting Games really have gotten any gameplay tweaks/patches so far).
Vampire savior. Main: Jedah Sub: Zabel, Gallon.
Marvel vs Capcom. Strider, Gambit, Wolvie, venom, MM and spidey
Marvel vs Capcom 2: Too many to name.
Tekken 6: Lars, Dragunov, Bryan
So just to be clear, if I have a Japanese 360, I will NOT be able to play a US version of BlazBlue on my Japanese 360, correct?
