They could well try, though. Speed Racer is the most recognizable of all of these characters on this side of the ocean and would help them market it over here, too. You'd be surprised how valuable a company can consider a recognizable face.

Nevermind Japan. Though to be fair, Tatsunoko is swimming with recognizable faces on that side, so there's little for them to worry about on that.

it sounds like your just looking for attention. to a lot of people who play street fighter arent fans of tatsunoko or even know what it is.

how do you know which will be better? and to be honest it was street fighter that made people want to play different fighting games, if street fighter 4 gets enough backing then it will invite people into the flow of fighting games again

No, but again, common sense, combined with all the "hints" that Capcom has shed through their very website (they advertised other System 246/256 games!), pretty much gives the notion that this game is destined for 246/256.

And it just makes sense that way...the SF4 is probably enough of a drain on funds, as well as a pretty large risk. Couldn't imagine that Capcom would be willing to go for two Taito X2 games at once...

A game looking worst then Soul Calibur 4 isn't saying much...Soul Calibur 3 on the PS2 looks damn well amazing.


I don't see how you can say the game sucks and all that stuff. Sure the roster isn't great, but it's meant to appeal to the masses who are more familiar with SF2 dudes. How can you even say there's little to the game if you prob have never played it? And graphically the game looks fine, it's just some models look weird like Ken....You could tell just by the videos that a PS2 wouldn't have the juice to run it efficiently.

Bullshit, if the games suck the fans will be the first ones to let Capcom know. Saying it will sell doesn't mean anything, yes people buy stuff because they want to play it and realize for themselves it sucks. Is it cause Street Fighter's in the title or because they're genuinely interested because let's face it, there's been plenty of time for people to bail out on this based on first impressions, people to remain faithful to something after this amount of time means there must be something there that's still interesting them.

Though for the record, Square put out crappy Final Fantasy spinoffs ( which were really unrelated games localized as Final Fantasy games ) that sold terribly last I remember.

This the last thing i will say on sf4 as this thread is being derailed (by me to be honest) i hope capcom will realease upgrades for it much like they did for alpha one and the origanal sf3 (which both sucked)........that is all.
