quick question on preordering since i never did it before

if i preorder for $50 for the TE, when the stick comes out...am i gonna pay a total of ($150+tax+$50)=over 200 dollars. or does it count the stick as partially paid ($150+tax -$50)?

just pretend the pre-order is a down payment for the stick; when it's released, you pay the remainder of the price + tax.

I also tried to order something from Mad Catz online a few days ago as a test and it took me to the Game Shark website, then it said they only ship to the United States.

Yup I'll vouch for that. I work there aswell, not the same store but in the company. Can't wait for these, gonna grab two PS3 TE versions. Pricing sounds good. Still no sku for the 360 TE though, as of yesterday.

I've said it before: If you have both systems, order the 360 version. This isn't any kind of MS fanboyism here; quite the opposite. Getting PS3 added to a 360 stick will be 100% easier than visa versa.

bah I'd just make my own for that price. Heck for that price I could make an arcade cabinet. But good hearing that it'll have 2 editions, though those TE versions aren't going to sell at all, so hopefully that casual fans will buy enough of the regular sticks to make it worthwhile to both the stores and to madcatz.

I want to know what extras the TE stick has that make it worthwhile. I dont see why you just dont get the stock stick and swap out the parts (1 sanwa plus 9 buttons is about 60 dollars). Wont modding the stock stick come out cheaper than buying the TE?

Before anyone makes a decision on whether to purchase or not. I'd say wait for some more info (this week) on the sticks, and know ALL the features/highlights that are going into it.

It'll give you a better idea of the type of bang you'd get for your buck.
