The kid in Boxer's ending is a boy, not a girl. Moreover, Juri's 25 during SSF4. If the game takes place around a year after SF4, that'd be one crazed growth spurt.

My point was that Juri could be a product of those very experiments. It was revealed in one of the previews that she is imbued with soul/psycho power which explains her purple ki. Also accelerated growth is not very farfetched, I'm pretty sure Bison's spare bodies are test tube grown at an accelerated rate.

I'm not saying Juri IS a result of the experimental "psycho children" we saw in Boxer's ending, but she could possibly be a result of an earlier and similar experiment. She would be the new and improved 'doll' (cybernetically enhanced and imbued with psycho energy), known as a Spider Agent.

Juri looks to me like a Bloody Roar reject. When I first saw the pic of her Ultra build-up animation I could totally see her transforming into an animal; and that was even before noticing the spider.

Seriously, the transparent pants are ridiculous, the top looks like the typical senseless design of a bad texture modder (those straps can't hold themselves unless they're bodypaint), and the hair is... what, two horns with a couple of rings each? Oh, and then we have the eye. I can't fathom what her alternate outfit will be.

I don't think it is a matter of 80's Vs 2000's. Juri doesn't look futuristic to me; she just looks way too stupid. She's easily my least favorite newcomer after Rufus.

For 25 days (at least), this thread shall serve as a vault for the 25 pieces of the SF4 SQDE file. The vault has a time lock with an interval of 24 hours, and the time lock releases with a certain repeated phrase.

You the readers shall be able to open its door once a day by responding to the phrase I provide. Each response shall yield a piece of the file, and you shall have complete control over the order of the pieces retrieved from the vault.

Each piece shall consist of the following:

I have to agree; her vest made me think TF:BW Black Arachnia got a fanboy in Bloody Roars R&D. I also specifically recall a request for a female Korean fighter on Capcom Unity way back when. Think it was the art guy who made alot of fan SF character concepts... He should be ecstatic so I'm happy for him.

The white chaps with Morgan like tights underneath are they transparent? Unfortunately, I could see the top on a Marvel super fem. I'm left wondering were the starwars princesses hair styles where inspired from and if juri has a similar inspiration. The aesthetics still needs work though, even if the hair is modeled after a pseudo Korean goth punk or rave scene. I just hope it's not spewing all over Korean culture, especially as I wouldn't know if it was.

I would so go for a psycho/soul powered escapy based on BR Uranus even with her BR3 based attacks

That was fun. I had wanted to read that event for a long time.

I’d like to propose something. First of all, thanks for your translations, but they are a pain to read, and even hard to understand. I know you have a good English because of your posts, so I figure that the problem is due to trying to be too faithful to the original text, as I know that Japanese and English work in a whole different way. Would it be possible to get more natural translations and, if needed, some additional notes explaining any subtleties lost in translation?

But...lots of people in SF2 ARE oddballs, and everyone has super powers.

All of them are archetypes that exist in real life, even if their design is colorful. In the end, Blanka is a savage man and Dhalsim is the typical exotic fighter that has odd mannerisms. Super powers are not part of the basic character, just an extra touch; all SF2 characters could exist and fight in real life with little redesign. Later characters deviate much more from reality; there are few steps from Blanka to Tarzan, while there are many from Necro to Jason Bourne, and also many from Sakura to any professional fighter. Then we have the story, which used to revolve around vengeance, rivalries and the will of becoming stronger, whereas now it revolves around dark powers, clones and superschoolgirls. I don’t think it’s just the tastes of different ages but a flattening and loss of soul in the series, as new characters and story have nothing beyond the gimmicks.
