Accurate MvC3 damage scaling data for all characters

Recently, jchensor updated the Damage Scaling page on the Shoryuken MvC3 hyper guide with accurate damage scaling formulas from the game’s guide and information on how damage scaling functions. Incorrectly, he noted that 10% was the lowest damage could scale. This is true for many of the game’s characters, but in fact minimum damage scaling is variable among the cast. I have manually compiled all this information, mostly using character’s j.B moves, to reflect this variance. Base and scaled numbers only refer to the damage of the one move tested, but the % is universal to all moves.

Characters marked 0.01% seemed to have scaling that did not stop at any point, so I just annotated the lowest I felt like going. At least for the couple of moves I was trying. If this is the wrong place to post this or if it’s been posted already, please let me know. This data also may not be 100% accurate because it’s pretty tiring to compile.

I’m going to be looking into how X-Factor affects this as soon as I can.

Is it possible that different moves have a different minimum %? (Since you only tested with j.B)

It doesn’t make sense to me why Wesker, Ryu and Thor do not have a minimum… I mean Ryu doesn’t hit very hard in the first place.

I haven’t tested any command normals or specials, but all normals do have the same minimum % as far as I can tell. The Ryu and Thor thing just cements them in my mind as the MvC3 versions of Dan.

Is this why a 5 hit Wesker combo chunks your life so hard?
