I’ve got cole onboard for the tournament. We’ll have a good solution in place for dealing with hooking up joysticks.

Once again setups and copies of SSF4 for xbox 360 will help this thing go smooth and quickly.

And please make sure you bring a stick and/or make arrangements to borrow one for use during the tournament.

If everything goes according to plan we will have some visitors from PDX joining the tournament and maybe a special guest.

Oh and if I can get a good RSVP’d head count I may be able to swing a special with the venue. But I need more people to commit to coming than came last time.

Any news about the internet at this place?

#4

Considering this event will have potentially 30+, we’ll need a way to plug in our sticks without having to waive down an employee. Other than that, this event should be dope. Good food, SF drinks, plenty of set ups, plenty of hungry sf players, lets go.

#5

There will be USB hubs or USB extension cables for use that should eliminate the need to have staff plug sticks in for us.

#6

Kes, did you manage to get my PM?

#7

Who wants to be my responsible adult?

#8

So you’re coming down with being sick on wednesday?

#9

I thought it was under 18 with responsible adult and over 21 (for drinking) with proper id. I could be wrong though.

The hubs/extension cable idea is great though, people can put their profiles on MU’s and bring them in to play at the AFK. Maybe the Tavern (If they did it) will continue to leave them in place because of their awesomeness?

#10

Will be there, missed out last time… dosukoi!

#11

How much are drinks there? I miss drinking and playing video games. But mostly the drinking.

#12

Good catch, I phrased that wrong. If you’re under 18 you need a responsible adult, if you’re over 21 you must have valid ID to drink. I’m going to ask if we can use some kind of permission form for under 18 that people can use if they can’t bring a responsible adult.

Drink prices are your average bar prices.
Here’s a link to the menu: http://files.afktavern.com/Beta_Launch_Menu-1.pdf

#13

Most options for waivers need parents to be there when signing

#14

Gonna try to make it out to this. 2 minutes from my house if that.

#15

Alright, we’ll have 10 usb extension cords hooked up so connecting a joystick will no longer require a staff member.
I’ve talked to slash and it looks like streaming matches wont be a problem. So far everything is looking good.
Please bring setups, joysticks, and most importantly copies of SSF4 for xbox 360 so we can keep things moving along at a good pace.

Also the AFK Tavern staff asked me to remind everyone to please refrain from bringing any outside food or drinks into the venue.
WA State Liqueur Control Board are a bunch of Nazis on this issue.

Everyone have a safe and happy new years and I look forward to seeing all of you on the 8th.

#16

will, their menu sucks. low tier bar food.
im never dissapointed with nachos, but i didnt even kill 25% of them when i got them.
they need some lessons from josh.

+1. strong drinks that taste bad. do they try their own drinks? or just make shit up and sell garbage?

#17

KKF, change your tampon. Food is fine, the drinks are fine, the one drink I had I didnt like, I took it back to the bartender and they fixed it.

#18

I’m under 21 and I have a valid Washington ID. Does that mean I can drink?
