Any Way to Use USB Street Fighter IV Arcade Sticks in PS2 Compatibility Mode on PS3?

#1

Hi, I’m trying to use a Mad Catz Street Fighter IV arcade stick in backwards compatibility mode on Samurai Shodown Anthology on my PS3. The controllers are not responding. Is there any way to get a USB stick to respond in a PS2 game on the PS3?

If you replace the PCB, then it’s possible to play PS2 games on your PS3 with it.

Mad Catz Arcade FightStick? cannot do Backwards Compatible.
You will have to replace the PCB with Cthulhu or PS2 Controller PCB.

Thanks. Oddly enough my Hori Fighting Stick 3 works fine even though they both are USB. Does anyone know the reason for this?

Mad Catz just doesn’t have the Sony support is all.
Hori works.

Kinda makes me regret buying a PS3 TE stick over the XBox360 stick now. But this gives me more incentive to find myself a Namco stick and lagless adapter :cybot:
