AV/Scart to HDMI conversion - Looking for one that doesn't have input lag

#1

Hi all. I was just wondering if anyone knew of any Scart to HDMI converters that they could recommend. The main priority for me is input lag which I am looking for none or at least sub 1 frame. Picture quality is also obviously important but so much as input lag. I’ve come across this on eBay: http://www.ebay.ie/itm/SCART-to-HDMI-CONVERTER-UPSCALE-SKY-Wii-DVD-1080p-HD-/120736191305?pt=UK_Computing_Sound_Vision_Video_Cables_Adapters&hash=item1c1c701349 but I’m not sure if it’s any good. They have a great seller rating, as well as all their products are very highly reviewed on Amazon so it would lead me to believe that it’s a good device but if anyone knows of any better one that doesn’t cost over $100, I can consider that too. Thanks.<br>

Hmmm… sub 1-frame input lag, eh? Tall orders come with tall price tags. Best you’re going to find is the <a href=“http://retrogaming.hazard-city.de/framemeister.html”>Framemeister</a>. Below $100? Forget about it.<div><br></div><div>If that’s your budget, your best bet is to get a SCART -> Component adapter, and plug it into a TV with minimal lag. Most older and cheap 32" HDTVs tend to have very low input lag, mainly because they aren’t really doing any processing to the image (in my experience). Image quality is likely going to be atrocious though.<div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div></div>
