Avenue Brawler Mod Manager

#1

Since posting in other’s threads is frowned upon it seems, I’ll go ahead and make one for this.

Simply, It handles changing the moveset for each character, Also does costumes, stages coming soon.

Downloading new mods is simple, If a mod author submits a mod to the ab server, it is visible from within the hub and downloading with a button click.

It also has stun bars, Very simple graph that displays stun values while you play.

It requires an account, This is used on a players window that shows who’s playing and what mod there using, Also has a simple chat room

Now I know some will not want to create an account to use this, So withing the next few days of posting(4/8/14), I’ll add an anonymous button so you won’t need one.

You can find the manager At my website.

Messed up shortcut command with Slam/Slash?

What if I already have the files for the mod (e.g. AE Remix)?

EDIT: Tried to install it but I keep getting a “SynInstaller has stopped working” error.

The latest remix is available in the hub, If you have files you would like to keep, make a backup and use the SynStudio tool in the settings window to create a mod package.

You can install any package yourself, but to get it on the store you need to be a member of the developer group, IE have an ab account, < sorry thats a bit off topic

As for the error, That’s a general .net exception code, more than likely it means you don’t have .net 4.5, wich I completely forgot to mention sorry about that

Here’s a link to the required .net version, http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30653

I’ll also put it on the download page.

Keep up the good work Razor!

I suspect with the release of the SF4BV mods will be getting updated which is good news for your mod managers usefulness!

#5

Updated The manager today, Now allows anonymous logins, you no longer need an account to use this.
Next up, I’ll write a tutorial on creating and using mod packages

#6

Did you update the installer? It still asked me to make an account to install.

#7

Got it installed (after what seemed to be a shit ton of downloads). The app immediately proceeds to crash the moment I try to load a mod. Upon further inspection, it now seems that files in the 1.07 directory are missing.

Does this program back up the 1.07 directory someplace by any chance?

#8

I knew I was forgetting something, The installer has been updated to match. Sorry about that

#9

Tried to install the new version (after reinstalling AE) and now I get this.

EDIT: Got it to run by repairing .NET 4.5.

That said, I think I found another glitch with the installer. The “Next” button on mine isn’t greyed out and you can just keep clicking on it through the download portion of installation and it’ll complete even without completely downloading everything.

Also, it’s kinda dumb that the version installed is still not the updated one meaning that you will need to get an account to log in and download the version that allows you to use it anonymously.

Got the same error again trying to run Remix.

And thanks to this, SSFIV is once again unplayable (gets stuck at the loading screen before matches). Good thing I backed up the entire SSFIV directory before installing the mod manager this time.

Also, in case you’re wondering, this is the retail digital download version that I bought from Amazon.

Man, I’m not doing so well here, First things, The setup not downloading the latest manager version, I have no excuse for this I completely overlooked this, apologies.

The second, Your not the first with this problem, the other who solved it never told me what they did, Since they fixed it I only spent a minimal amount of time researching the problem.
They also never gave me an error log, It makes things much easier,

After some research It seems to be a known windows error, I’m going to apply magic dust to see if that fixes the problem.

[Also updating the installer to fix said issues above]

I want to thank you d3v, for being so patient with me.

Alright, I’ve changed the method in question [ModEngine.ModEngine.SwitchGame] I’m pretty sure that should fix it, But without your exact environment it’s hard to tell.
You can update anytime, please let me know what happens.

#12

I’ll reinstall it tomorrow. That said, I’ve been having trouble uninstalling it since Windows says that its already uninstalled, but the files are still there.

#13

Nope, still getting the same game breaking problem after the update.

@d3v‌ Which version of windows are you using?

#15

Win7

#16

This is amazing! Will you be updatting for the new version? Does this still work with the switch to Steam works?

#17

At the moment no gameplay mods work with steam version whatsoever.

#18

Just to let everyone know, This will be returning with the release of PC Ultra.

#19

So it should work now?
