Cammy's B&B Combo Thread

What are some basic beginner to intermediate level combos with Cammy? I know c. hp launches, then I usually just jump up and hit lp, lk, lp, lk, spiral arrow…or something like that. I’m a scrub at this game and would really love to get better!! Thanks in advance.

ya pretty certain its Launch -> magic series xx spiral arrow xx Killer bee assault
then OTG
you could either launch again into another BnB or throw for mixup

check out gamefaqs for combos/character guide or look through the old threads. The traffic here isnt that good for new comers

Yeah I haven’t been able to get her Cannon Drill to link up with her KBA, I didn’t know you had to use HK though! Thanks for the help! Can’t wait to try it when I get home lol

Use training to get the timing down. For further reference, the HK Cannon Drill actually “LIFTS” your enemy after hitting. The key to success is doing the QCB+PP the moment your HK Cannon Drill registers. If you are “past” your opponent, there’s a great chance it’s going to miss. You want the KBA to launch on hit.

Glad to see some new interest in this game and in Cammy.

Her bread and butter is cr. hp, sj., lp, lp, hk Cannon Drill xx KBA

Don’t bother with the full magic series in the air combo unless you need to build meter because 1) you’re more likely to screw up, 2) her mk hits weird and sometimes misses, and 3) it actually does less damage than the lp, lp combo.

You need to cancel into KBA as soon as the HK Cannon Drill hits. If you wait too long, the character will fall and the KBA will whiff. If you cancel too soon though, the cannon drill won’t come out. Just practice it until you get the hang of it.

LK Cannon drill xx KBA will ALWAYS miss so don’t ever do it.

Sweet, I finally got it! Thanks a lot.
BTW - my team is currently Cammy/Cyclops/Psylocke. Is that a pretty good combination? Sorry for all the noob questions, this game is def. new territory for me (I just learned that you could mk in this game yesterday lol)

i’m new at this game too, so clearingup what the best combo should be is awesome.

Right now i’m having trouble with OTG opponents unles they’re in the corner. But from midscreen and stuff its harder

my planned arcade team is cammy/sentinel/commando. I can switch out commando for somebody else though

my non tier based team is cammy/doom/juggernaut or cammy/tron/morrigan

I would like to mention two other combos.

I always start off her air combos with c.lk, c.lk, c.hp btw.

The bread and butter combo posted above by Disgruntled GOA is correct…although I’ll be honest, I do the full magic series (will look into the damage totals later and might change my combo).

Also:

c.lk, c.lk, c.hp, sj, sj.lp, sj.lk, sj.lp, pause, air throw.
This combo allows you to come back down naturally out of the jump and still OTG your opponent. Now keep in mind this is something they can roll out of. If they dont, you can keep doing it over and over until you either finish it with a cannon drill xx KBA, or until they wake up and figure it out.

Another:

c.lk, c.lk, c.hp, sj, sj.lp, sj.lp (small pause), sj.lp, sj.lp, air jump, magic series, ended with either a sj.hp, or a sj.hk, or a cannon drill, and possibly a cannon drill xx KBA.
The timing on this one is more advanced, but if you can get it, it’s a good solid combo to add to your repertoire. This is great for building meter…if you’re close to a level of meter and you’ve already launched them…this might put you over the level so you can finish with a KBA. Or it might just build up for your other teammates…or whatev.

Dont bother with the OTG as most experienced players will roll. I suggest that after the Fp. Throw, quickly lp lp as you are falling with the character. When you land, they’ll remain slightly above you in the air, where you can quickly jump up and FP. throw again, and then go for the OTG, which is harder to roll because the distance of fall from the FP throw in the air is much smaller.

Still might not work though, its hella old school. Most people Tech one of the throws now or roll every time the air Fp. Throw is done.

But still the combo is worth knowing and mixing up into the gameplay here and there. BTW its much easier on larger characters such as sent/jugg.

IMO its more profitable to learn her air mixup game.

There are some different options you have based off of her standard double jump combo. (Launch Sj.lp, Sj.lk, Sj.lp, slight pause, Sj. lp, Sj.lp, Double jump, dj.lp, dj.lk, etc.)

For example you can vary the time that you Double jump to either connect as a straight combo, or crossup on the other side and reset the combo.

Another easy crossup is to just slow down the Sj.lp Sj. lk, Sj.lp pause Sj.lp Sj.lp.
You should end up finishing the combo at about the peak of your SJ and then you just Cannondrill in the opposite direction (So if you Launched and Super jumped towards the right side you would input :qcb: HK) to KBA.

Cammy (AA) Tron (Pro) Doom (AA) have been actually working pretty well for me. Its not a bad combo. Doom can set up easy block stuns > grab> bnb> KBA and tada! Options! Tron on the other hand keeps the pressure on and keeps all the people from beating down on poor ol’ Cammy. Also Cammys AA porvides excellent cover for Doom to get in and do his thing and set up his bnb into photon super > dhc (cammy kba and trons big servbot super)

She also runs really well with Sent.

Some basic combos are her cannondrill combos. Theyre easy to perform, and take a decent amount of damage. Well, I have a nephew who likes MvC2. Im teaching him how to do combos. I tell him to remember 1…2…3, which stands for light, mid, heavy. With Cammy, a basic combo is light kick/ light punch/ heavy punch or kick/ cannondrill. Or, the crouching variety, cr.lp/ cr.lk/ cr.hk (the kick, not the punch…it launches)/ cannondrill.

Cammy has reversals as well. The light punch reversals, performs a cannon spike. The other one, which I recommend, is the reversal where she knocks you up into the air. This is more useful, because you can go for more moves, like supers and assist combos. Once youve knocked them upwards, and theyre falling down, do either her “Lock-On” super, or her “Vertical Spear” super. I prefer the latter, cause its a rare move in the game to connect with.
Advanced Combos: Cammy/Ruby/Thanos-Perfom Cammy’s aerial combo w/Ruby’s capture assist. At the end of the combo, do a cannondrill. This combined with Ruby, will capture them falling away, and bring them down to the ground. From there, you can do whatev you like. With Thanos, just perform the combo mentioned earlier, with cannondrill at the end. Assist with Thanos’ capture, and the bubble will catch them at the end of her drill.

Cammy/Iron/Cyclops: Now, this varies a lot, because there are different ways to perform combos. One, you perform her hp reversal, while theyre falling, assist with Iron’s anti-air. This will juggle them for sometime, allowing you to do numerous moves. Another combo, is her cannondrill combo. At the end of her cannondrill, Iron’s anti-air will bounce them back twards you, in which you can do numerous moves as well. Cyclops: His is mainly defensive, but can be used for offensive attacks as well. Starting off, jab/Cyclops/ Vertical Spear or Lock-On super. Simple, but effective, so keep this fresh in your arsenal. I have a lot of Cammy combos, but I cant list them all on here, hope that helps with your Cammy gameplan…L8
