Controller Panel made from Oak Plywood

my plan was to use 1/4" oak for the controller panel since I do not have a router and this is the only appropriate thickness that achieves the joystick height I want. Problem is that Home Depot only had 1/4" thick plywood…do you guys forsee any problems with that or is it fine?

Thanks for your help

PS: the rest of the case is Poplar 3/4" thick, non plywood

Plywood is ok if that’s all you’ve got. Just be careful on the edges as it can chip out a bit. I’ve made sticks out of plywood before and they turned out ok. IMO, it’s a good idea to paint them afterwards instead of staining/varnishing - hides the fact you’re using plywood :wgrin:
