Could someone recommend a good lubricant to fix sitcky buttons on a HORI stick?

#1

I got a T5 stick has been used since the launch. I did not abuse it, but the buttons feel pretty sticky now.
I used to use WD40 on my HORI FS EX with similar problem, but WD40 got a terrible smell and I think it is quite toxic.

There seems to be some silicone based lubricant, such as Jig-a-Loo, however, after some research, that one seems to be toxic too. Any non-toxic one people could recommend?

don’t use lubricants for buttons, open them up and clean them with an alcohol swab.

WD40 is not a lubricant. WD40 is not a lubricant. WD40 is not a lubricant. WD40 is not a lubricant.

I know it says lubricant at Wikipedia but it’s primarily a water displacer. If I were to lube buttons I would use a silicone-based lube. Go to your local tack shop (like, for horses) – they have silicone based lube for putting on show boots. That’ll be good stuff (assuming there are no solvents.)

And yeah, like he said, only lube clean products and if it’s clean and doesn’t need lubrication then don’t lube it.

Use alcohol with q-tips and try to dab it on the edges of the Hori buttons.

lube will just trap more dirt. but if you want a good lube  KY it up haha

A proper silicone or graphite lube will not attract dirt. WD40 will.

I will try to clean the botton fromt the top then try some silicone lubricant.
If does not work, I will try to mod it
