  • Dee Jay:

cl.HK > cr.MP xx KRK - YES (KRK whiffs randomly if cl.HK counter hits while he’s standing)

  • Dhalsim:

cl.HK > cr.MP xx KRK - YES (KRK whiffs if hit crouching)

  • El Fuerte:

Hmmm all those “cr.MP whiffs crouching” surprises me much, is that really correct? You sure you didn’t have counter hit on? That would make more sense cuz I’m quite sure I’ve done max damage combo on all of those and if it failed it was because KRK whiffed, not that cr.MP whiffed. Very strange.

EDIT: nickdeline if you want to it would be great if you made a list on what characters cr.LK > cl.LK > cr.MP xx Gadouken works on! I’ve also noticed the Gadouken doesn’t combo on characters like… Ryu and Sakura. Those are the ones I can think of, guess it should be the same against Ken.

Faced Sweden’s best El Fuerte player yesterday online… cl.HK > cr.MP really does make the cr.MP whiff. Wow how that sucks… I know Fuerte’s supposed to be one of Dan’s better matchups but, god… I really feel helpless in it, cuz tons of stuff just whiffs, and regular LK crouch teching by Fuerte helps him avoid both L Dankus and H/M Dankus. That’s a really big handicap. -.- Seriously considering counterpicking this guy with Cammy now.

How much damage is lost by skipping the cl.mp altogether and just doing cl.hk -> krk?

Just a bit, but that’s not the problem really… it’s the fact that you can’t connect Gadouken FADCs after hitting with cl.HK. That feels very debilitating for me at least.

Youre actually the reason I made these videos. I saw the episode on Ultrachen that featured some of youre awesome gameplay. It motivated me to flush out some of his character specific combos. Theres actually a lot more stuff that didnt make the video, I only put the most useful combos in the final cut.

Thanks Tom, I’m honoured. In that video you’re showing some of the things I wanted fixed for Dan… random Dankus whiffing all over crouching opponents. It’s stupid.
