I Cant wait to go back to ARIZONA!!! This is by far one of my favorite tournaments this will be my third year attending if everything goes well  Abe where you at son hit me up for possible rooming/something!!!

Oh yea also Robb if you need any help with running HDRemix let me know i would be happy to help out in any way possible

Return of the guaranteed pots?

Will Akuma be banned?

should he be banned? (this is a legit question, i know jack about HDR)

Thanks for the love already!

I will have this forum updated tomorrow or Friday (busy next couple of days) BUT online registration is open if you want to get in on the early-bird pricing of cheapness

BlueMary - probably not the brackets themselves but we are looking for guest commentators for the stream? Maybe, maybe? hmmmm?

Magnicious - Guaranteed Pots? Who Us? What? :bgrin:

eltwopee - Good question. That might even need to become a poll question/vote. I hear arguements, both ways, all the time… is there a new community ruling that I do not know of?

he is banned @ evo. Every HDR tourney I have been to he is banned. I hear opinions either way as well.

I think every HDR player knows this. I thought it was an assumption. Wasn’t HDR ran there last year as well? Who’s running brackets for this game? There’s also going to be a debate on 4:3 versus Widescreen (16:9) setting as well.

I never really traveled to compete but this looks awesome. What is there to do in Phoenix? (That’s also a legit question. I know jack about other states).

If for some reason SSFIV is released on arcade, will it be the same set up as the T6 cabinet from last Devastation?

We have a pretty decent HDR community in Phoenix, so we’ll have someone knowledgeable running the tournament. As far as rules go, it’s pretty much going to be whatever the community wants. If the community wants Akuma banned, he’ll be banned. If the community wants 4:3, it’ll be 4:3. So let us know what you guys want and that’s what the rules will be. If we don’t hear anything then we’ll most likely default to DEV 2009 rules.

As far as what to do in Phoenix, we have multiple casinos, a ton of clubs, and a bunch of other stuff to do. If you get the VIP DEV pass you’ll also gain access to Thursday night activities and the private party (assuming that will be Saturday night, but undetermined at the moment). I know everyone who was at the party last year really liked it.

I think it’s extremely unlikely that we’d use an arcade cabinet for SSF4. Even if one is released, a vast majority of players will be accustomed to the PS360 versions, so we’d be alienating them if we used the arcade. Not to mention we’d probably only be able to get one or two boards, which would make the tournament run very slow. The only reason we used arcade for Tekken 6 was because the console version wasn’t available for tournament play.

That said, if there’s a huge demand for the arcade version we’d definitely look into the possibility.
