DVI to HDMI cable, what should I look for?

#1

I’m in the market for a DVI to HDMI cable (mainly to connect my PC to my HDTV), and since my stupid video card has trouble supporting Component video out but has a DVI port, I thought I could just simply use the DVI port, convert it to HDMI and plug it in my TV.

Problem is I have no clue as to what to look for in terms of quality, etc. I’ve seen some converters at Tigerdirect.ca but some of them mention using only 5gbps bandwitdh instead of the full 9gbps, so I’m wondering if anybody knows anything about that sort of stuff who could point me in the right direction…

Thanks!

I laugh at those prices at tigerdirect.ca. (and just about anywhere else.)

Cool…

I need DVI-D to HDMI, not the other way around, although I think they both go both ways (DVI-D and HDMI is the exact same thing except HDMI has audio).

Yeah, they go both ways.
