This is a special event as we are running a WWE12 tourney being sponsored by 102.1. First place wins front row tickets to the Elimination Chamber event on February 19th along with a meet and greet with Rey Mysterio. 2nd place also wins the meet and greet as well. The game is being run on Wii as Gamestop is providing the setups. I will post the official tourney rules for this game as soon as I get it sorted out.

Looking forward to being there! Hopefully more people will be there to play some of the lower profile games (ie not UMvC3 and SSF4).

You should probably change the OP to say that UMvC3 is $10.

Nearly a week away! Two Milwaukee tourneys on the same day!! Almost can’t decide which one to go to.

Started writing this post and it got very long very quickly. Sorry.

I might be able to bring my 32" HDTV to connect to the GameCapture for more people to view the high profile matches. This assumes that footmeetsskull will have the hdmi splitter as well as the hdmi to component device. I know he is in the process of ordering them, but these devices are fairly expensive and if it doesn’t happen this month it’s not a problem. I think one of the bigger issues in bringing it would be the extra power it would draw. I don’t want it to cause the power to go out.

Speaking of which, hopefully all those extra Wiis and TVs for the Wiis won’t cause this power issue as well. I wonder where they will be setup.

I’ve been trying to think about where to setup the HDTV. My initial thought was to put it on the pool table near the back and maybe put something underneath it so it could be a bit higher than the monitors.

I posted these thoughts earlier, but I thought I would repost it here since it relates directly to the tournament:

[details=Spoiler]Though the tourney ran smoother than the one before it, I think there are still more ways to improve it. Maybe at the next one, start UMvC3 and run SF3 after the second round is over. I don’t think there was a lot of overlap between those two games. Then do the same thing with SF4 and kof13 after UMvC3 finishes. For T6 and MK9, we could start those sooner than we did this past tourney. I think one of those games should start shortly after UMvC3 starts.

Another idea is to formally post in the thread that if a game doesn’t have enough players (8 or less?), it will be winner take all, or something like that. I kind of like how Madwak is going to run his tournament in regards to the payout vs number of entrants (minus the round robin idea).[/details]
Again, sorry for the super long post. Just so excited!

The WWE tourney will be in the pit area. We will be in the back like last time. My splitter arrived. Going to order the HDMi to component converter tomorrow probably. The splitter is powered as well as the Avermedia. I’m unsure if the converter is powered or not. I’m going to need a power strip dedicated to one setup lol. It will all be worth it. The power going out last time was die to an employee turning it off. This time it will be taped off DO NOT TOUCH! Haha.

#13

not sure if I’m going. madwak has canceled his stuff which makes me :(. 50/50

#14

Some of us might come down. Put it up on site and our facebook.

#15

Sounds good.

#16

If my convertor arrives in time(which it should) finals will be recorded and uploaded to my YouTube channel.

#17

I’ll likely go to this. Probably not entering again as I’m lame and don’t have any of the games.

Is WWE entry free? Have the rules for that yet?

Also typo for umvc:

#18

Entry for WWE is free. You pick a character and you stay with that character the whole tourney.

#19

For anyone bringing a setup UMvC3, please make sure to turn Auto Super Jump OFF in the settings. The default setting is on, so make sure to do this.

#20

Tentative schedule (depending on number of setups)?

2PM: SSF4AE2012; KoFXIII; Tekken 6
5PM: UMvC3; SF3S; SCV

I don’t think there will be too much overlap between those games running at the same time. Thoughts?
