can the flash cart and sd adapter be used on different DS? or does it need some sort of update?

if order to use the m3 you need a device to able to get into the program. these devices could be passme or flashme, flashme is a firmware installed into my ds so it doesnt need a physical device like passme. and to get flashme installed into your ds is kinda complicated…so lets just leave it at that.
