Help with Nuby Soul Calibur II Universal Joystick

I have this Nuby Soul Calibur II Universal Joystick that works with PS2, Xbox and Gamecube:

I also have this PS2 to PS3 converter:

But for whatever reason this joystick will just not work. The converter works if I attach a PS2 controller.

This joystick doesn’t have the Playstation Analog button, not sure if that is causing it to not respond. The joystick just has no reaction at all.

Does anyone have this joystick and was able to make it work on a PS3?

Those things barely worked on the PS2, XBOX and Cube. You sure it’s not just dead?

I think it may be time to invest in a new stick bro. I mean…look at the thing.

I have a preorder down for the Madcatz TE stick, but god knows when it’ll come in. Until then, I really need a joystick to use, as even this Nuby one is better than any d-pad.

This joystick does work on my PS2 so I know its not dead.

Has anyone been able to open this joystick up?

I’ve tried removing the 4 screws on the bottom, but the bottom panel just won’t pop off, so I don’t want to break any tabs that I don’t know about. So if some has opened it up, I’d like to know how they did it.

Still works? You got lucky. Those things were coming back defective left and right back in the day… I think I even had one, but I don’t know whatever happened to it.

Anyways, I’m doing some tests with this Sumoto converter…|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318|301%3A1|293%3A2|294%3A50

… and it’s pretty good so far. It has been tested to work on the Pelican Universal stick ( so maybe it’ll like yours too.

Buy a mayflash at amazon…Its 30 bucks but I think its better than that nuby one…You can always mod the mayflash later on…

Hey i used to have that stick myself and i loved it at the time.

For your problem not working on a ps3. I think it just doesnt have a backward for all third party controllers.

To switch from analog to digital you have to press mode button or something like that.

If might work on your ps3 if you do this.

Those cords work great with an MC Cthulhu; make sure to keep the cord if you ever decide to toss that POS.

I have the KOF Nuby(mostly because I like KOF… at the price I got it I didn’t expect it to be usable) and I can honestly tell you that no. No, it’s not. :shake:

It offered horrible control with that stiff, feedback-less stick and those hard-to-push buttons. Then the stick stopped working in some direction.
