IGN.com's top 100 animated series

#1

Did a search for this and nothing came up…my friends sent this to me earlier and was wondering what yall think.

I agree with the top 3.

#2

how the hell is turtles not even in the top 20?

#3

yeah, they’re like 55

-Fritz

#4

Switch #1 with #3…then I’d agree.

#5

Eva higher than Bebop? :nono:

#6

i can understand it…eva pushed the boundaries for its time and was a mindfuck for a long time.

#7

Without even checking I’m assuming The Simpsons is #1 and rightfully so.

Yes it has been poor for quite some time now, but it paved the way and was so much better than all it’s competition for so long that it deserves to be at the top.

Now to check the list and complain when G1 Transformers isn’t #2!!!

#8

The Simpsons sucks.

#9

I wish they would have just had it in list format. Clicking all the adds is annoying.

Also how is Family Guy in the top ten. It has funny moments but really it shouldn’t be higher than 50 at best.

#10

No Earthworm Jim I can just about handle, but no Bravestarr is blasphemous!

Happy that they’ve rated The Tick so high. Absolute classic.

#11

Eva was a pretentious sack of bullshit. The only placement I was cool with was Batman TAS at number 2. The only reason Simpson is at number 1 is because the creator wont give it up. Top 5 yes, number 1, hell no.

#12

Agreed. I still DVR re-runs whenever possible. The live action version was hilarious too. If only it had lasted.

#13

I’m on number 80 now. So far I disagree with all of it like Paul McCartney’s divorce settlement.

#14

A lot of that is severely debatable, but at least Invader ZIM and Justice League Unlimited made the list (although both should’ve been higher).

#15

The Simpsons did go through a slump for a few seasons, but the recent ones have been pretty good. I probably laughed more watching the Simpsons than the last couple of seasons of Family Guy. South Park has always been good though.

#16

Yeah, everything DC put out is easily top 15 or top 10 in terms of quality. But apparently IGN took number of episodes into account.
