Application Support Developer
(Lead Programmer/Analyst, SL3)
Description of Duties:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the development of various database applications and administration of web applications. This is an exciting position, in a highly technical track, with the ability to provide hands on development of automated databases and web services, to support the campus community. Major responsibilities include providing consultative guidance to departments with database/web projects that emphasize data collection, access and reporting methods, defining integration points for various applications across the domain, managing existing web applications, and automating workflows using various programming languages.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university; background in designing, developing and maintaining complex applications; experience using Microsoft Access; skilled at writing robust, clean, modular, reusable, and maintainable code.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in writing applications using Microsoft Access, and ASP.NET; knowledge of Active Directory; knowledge of Learning and Classroom Management systems such as WebCT, Angel and Blackboard; experience working in a higher education environment.
