Lag - what's your connection like? (Online ping measurement)

#1

So, I was thinking about success and how it would be connected to experience, reactions, skill, lag, etc, and decided to post this test from pingtest.net. For some reason, the previous thread got moved into Xbox, which I don’t even own, so here’s the version for everybody else. Post your results.

Ping is based on the distance between you and the server. I could have a 100MS from here to UK. So, posting this will be pointless.

Well, I was assuming that nobody would be playing somebody on the other side of the world. If you’re close enough to each other (especially if the server is close to both people) then this will give a reasonable representation…

If the game is a dedicated server. Then, it will be a reasonable representation. However, fighting games is determine on your opponent’s ISP provider. That includes Duty.

That’s between you and the server. Do a test around the globe and not your state/country. To get an idea what the ping will be around the globe.

Usually my ping within east-cost will be from 0ms to 50 and central-west will be at least 51-100+
