Little Rock has long needed an event that the gaming community can truly indulge in. While there has been several attempts before in the past their has yet to be an event that stands out as the ONE. Well the Little Rock GameCon seeks to end this rut of gaming entertainment. Little Rock Gamecons objective is simple, to host a 3 Day convention of gaming and overall geek entertainment. It will cover the gamut of gaming genres, from video games to card games. Also through the help our comic book partners like Kapow! Comics we also intend to bring a strong comic book focus as well. We will hold an event that is family friendly yet will be aimed for the gamers and run by gamers. We want this to be a community event; we will not overlook the local talent and businesses solely for larger corporate support. We actively seek out and encourage the community to come and be apart in our event and want to see the community grow just as the event will grow. The convention itself is split between 3 days, with each day having its own highlights. Friday is the first day and is devoted to comic books. Our major tournaments will be Blazblue, Tekken 6, Guitar Hero 5, Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Street Fighter IV. Saturday is the major tournament day with a major Magic: The Gathering hosted by Imagine Hobbies and Games, Daily Planet and Conway Gaming Center. As well there will be major console tournaments in Halo 3: ODST, Call of Duty 4 and Gears of War 2. Sunday is the last day and will have the finals of the console tournaments.
