Madcatz Fightstick SE too loud

#1

I have an SE fightstick. Has a hollow sound to it when I hit any button. The TE sticks sound better.
Anyone do anything to change the sound?

If you have stock SE buttons, then you should get some silent Sanwas. That’s killing two birds with one stone IMO.

I have seimitsu buttons. I might switch sometime though.

The buttons will sound and feel different depending on the case it’s installed in. This is why the Madcatz SE, TE, and Qanba, will all feel and sound slightly different, even if you put the same button in them.

As far as sound goes, all buttons are pretty loud. Your option is to either a) purchase silent Sanwa buttons, which are quieter, but feel worse imo, or b) install foam inserts in your current buttons to deaden the sound.

Since there is more room in the SE it is like a drum. You could put something inside the case to muffle the sound like pillow stuffing. Theoretical but I bet it would work.
