Madcatz SFIV fightPAD MOD (FINALVERSION)

#1

Hi,

Just dumping some pics of my new modded fightpad.

Too bad the lack of interest from the community in fightpads mods.

This is the original art:

There are internal and external modifications.

Internal: Fixed the directional, especially the diagonal. Now i can do ultras like guile´s much more easy.
External: Changed the artwork:

I’ve been wanting to pick up a Fight Pad for awhile. Was trying to sell my TE Round 2 and pick one of these up and finish the stick im building

#3

What did you do to it?

#4

He wired it. I assume it is no longer wireless?

#5

Looks like a wire coming from it to me…

#6

Xbox fightpads have always been wired…daguas only added new artwork

#7

Ok, I have no idea what the stock art looks like so I thought this was it.

can you put more detail about fixing your diagonal? i have so much problem with mine too.

#10

Nice

I guess you should be flattered that its so good looking people didn’t even know what you did to it.

#11

Sure.

I added a piece of a thin cardboard paper in a “cross” layout inside de controller (under the directional rubber) and took out the screws of the circuit board. I just left the screws from outside the fightpad (except the middle one). Believe me, it made a huge difference in command response.

Now, my fightpad directional is perfect. Not too loose, not to tight.

#12

Can you make a tutorial on changing the Fightpad art and Modding the the Dpad?

#13

Wow, that it niiiiiiiice. It looks really professional, now if they made fightpads as nice as yours, I would buy one!

#14

Well, it’s quite simple to mod controllers, but if you need a tuto to do it, i can make one, after my SSF4 tournament (this sunday). I don’t want to re-open my pad before the competition and risk to loose the perfect directional balance and command response i found so hard.

#15

Alright cool, can’t wait.

#16

Sounds cool, I hope even a newbie like myself can do it.

#17

Can’t wait for that tutorial man. I wanna put my fightpad to use, it’s just collecting dust atm. =_=
