ATLANTIS’S MEGA GAME BASH!

Atlantis is getting some sick games in, and we’re celebrating by holding a massive tournament! Come show your support for the biggest little city in the world! We’ve got gambling, booze, a 24 hour arcade, and cheap hotel rooms! Plus, we’ve got this kinda cool tournament dealy!

All games are arcade, except Smash!

The game lineup includes beatmaniaIIDX GOLD, Pop’n Music FEVER!, Initial D ver.4, Twinklestar Sprites, and Super Smash Bros. Brawl. The tournaments will begin at 12:00pm (noon) and run until 12:00am (midnight). A more cohesive tournament schedule will come later, as the details are ironed out. Some rules are subject to change; feedback is welcome.

**
beatmaniaIIDX GOLD [14th]**
Size: Approx. 16 to 32-person non-bracket.

Format: Modified single elimination, no seeding or organized brackets.

Rules: A pre-determined set of three songs will be played for each round. The songlist will be presented to competitors at the beginning of the tournament. All songs (minus final round) are played on random mod; all other mods are allowed except 5KEY, Auto-Scratch, Easy, Hard, S-Random, and Regul-Speed. Score is based on EX points (JGreat +2, Great +1). Entrants with the lowest overall score each round are dropped; number of entrants dropped per round will be determined by the number of entrants. Six rounds will be played.

Final round songlist will be posted when it is available, consisting of three predetermined songs, preceded by a song selected by each finalist, making a final round of six songs. Each competitor will select a song and difficulty at the beginning of the tournament which will be used in the final round, should they advance that far.

Pop’n Music 14 - FEVER!**
Size: Approx. 16 to 32-person non-bracket.

Format: Modified single-elimination, no seeding or organized brackets.
Rules: A pre-determined set of three songs will be played for each round. The songlist will be presented to competitors at the beginning of the tournament. Modifiers are restricted to HI-SPEED only. Score is based on money score (Cool timing may apply, detail later) Entrants with the lowest overall score each round are dropped; number of entrants dropped per round will be determined by the number of entrants. Six rounds will be played.

Final round songlist will be posted when it is available, consisting of three predetermined songs, preceded by a song selected by each finalist, making a final round of six songs. Each competitor will select a song and difficulty at the beginning of the tournament which will be used in the final round, should they advance that far.

Initial D ver.4**
Size: 32-bracket.

Format: Double elimination, best of three courses. Seed is random.

Rules: Linked Battle Mode will be utilized. Best two out of three matches. An Initial D ver. 4 card will be required to play, with one car predetermined at the start of the tournament. High seed picks first course, low seed picks second course. Third course is random. Final stage select is random. Failure to use the same car throughout the tournament or selecting the same course, direction, and condition more than once per round and excessively over the course of the tournament are grounds for disqualification.

Twinklestar Sprites
Size: 32-bracket.

Format: Double elimination, random seed.

Rules: Best of three games, best of three matches per game. No secret characters may be selected.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Size: 64-person, split into two 32-person pools. Top 16 of each pool proceed to final round.

Format: Double elimination, single match, 1v1. No qualifier, slots will be filled first-come first-serve. Both pools may be entered, as long as you do not place top 16 in the first pool. There will be 8 setups for smash. Size is limited due to facilities.

Rules: YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN CONTROLLER. Any controller type is allowed. Official tournament rules at the time of the tournament apply, details will be available as official tournament rules are laid out. Barring game glitches, pausing is grounds for disqualification.

Details on Smash will come very soon, due to our inability to contact the Smash coordinators.

We’re currently attempting to get together a Guilty Gear: Accent Core tournament… but this hasn’t been approved. :frowning: I’ll give official word soon!
