Minor Sanwa stick issue

Greetings everyone.

I just finished modding my SE-stick with Sanwa buttons and joystick (JLF) yesterday.
Everything felt ok in the beginning, but then all of a sudden the stick starts making some kind of “squeaky” noise. Like when you bend a rubber hose or something like that, if you understand what I mean? :wonder:

It happens when I move the stick at a normal speed in any direction.
I figured it might be the black rubber thing at the bottom of the shaft (inside the stick), but not completely sure.

It’s not too big of a problem, but a bit annoying since it’s a brand new stick.
Anyone had any similar issues?

Sorry if this question has been asked before.
Thanks in advance.

Open it up and see where its coming from.

Yeah, I guess I’ll have to do that…
Well, my warranty is still valid, but the shipping back to where I bought it is quite expensive, so I’d like to avoid that if possible. We’ll see…

Well, I think I found the problem. I took it apart and I think it is the lubricate around the stick that’s making the noise.
Anyway, stick works flawless so I won’t worry about it.

yeah, i was going to say the lubricant needs to be worked in when i read the first post. just keep doing 360’s with the stick for a while to let the lubricant even itself out.
