Man, I’m sorry to hear about all this Aya… I was honestly waiting around for you to be the white knight in all of this and push it through. I understand where you’re coming from and it’s disappointing that Shok does this kind of shit, I’m also disappointed but not surprised to hear about all the flack you got for even taking a project like this on. Seriously. Anyway I wish you luck in your future endevours, hope you get to see all your work pay off and I hope you get to take some time off to have some nice R&R. (unless you aren’t the type for that kind of thing)
Unless blatant gay sex is involved, it can’t be a furry game. Perhaps a game with anthropomorphic characters, but not a ‘furry game.’
Seriously, the amount of flack that Monster gets just because of it’s aesthetic is bullshit. How many good fighting games out there have a primarily anthropomorphic cast of characters? Not many, so it’s hardly reasonable to bash it when it is in fact a breath of fresh air compared to another more prolific genre such as, oh, loli fighters.
All of this is really disappointing. But I personally am going to sit through it, because I’m still wanting to see it be completed.
For the kemono/anthro/furry enthusaists out there, the game is like “wow, someone actually managed to do something with the style and take it seriously.” It’s going to be a good example for lots of artists with similar tastes to follow.
Meanwhile, I still have plenty of other doujin games to get hyped up about while I wait for Monster.

Then again most people who are saying this is a “furry game” are usually those who don’t live in Japan - it’s normal for Japan to have them.
