Most Efficient Mic to use for TE-S

#1

I could be going nowhere with this but I’m gonna give it a shot anyways.

I’ve been using the Xbox mic ever since I got my TE-S. I’m the type of person that likes to be able to communicate and play. Kinda helps me understand certain situations better. Anyways, I’ve gone through about 3 mics in the past year and a half so I was wondering the other day if there are any other microphones that are better quality, last longer, and work well with the MadCatz TE-S. Or am I forever stuck with these low quality microphones?

Get the Microsoft bluetooth mic…that’s what I use since the plug in my other mic broke off in the TE.

The audio quality isn’t any different than the standard from what I can tell, but it picks up your voice better, and the battery life seems like forever.

Does it go on both ears? Or just one ear like the Xbox Mic?

I can recommend 2 good mics, one that is expensive and will last virtually forever, and one that is $20 but isn’t nearly as durable.

First, the $20 set:

And now for the Turtle Beach X31 Headset I use most often:

If you opt for the 2nd choice, get a set of rechargable AAA batteries, they will save you a lot of money. I use them all the time, and they receive game audio as well. They can take a beating, mine have been through quite a bit.

Just one ear…

Someday I’m going to get these…

I’ve tried them out before, and they seem to blow away any others I’ve tried.

i gave up on plugging in a mic. i have a tritton AX pro. its a beast of a headset, but if you’re an owner, how the hell do you plug in the mic adapter to the TE?
