Need a recommendation for Q4RAF modding

#1

I’ve been wanting to rework my Q4 because I think the PCB in it is junk. So while I’m about to gut this thing I was tossing around some ideas.

I like the idea of a detachable cable, always have. Plus it never hurts to exercise modding/crafting arts. So I plan on getting an RJ45 feed through and for detach capability and I plan on using the cord storage in the Q4 case as a storage for various things like sync cables, backup RJ45, charging cable, etc.

My goal here is that I don’t want to lose the dual mod compatibility with hopes of easily upgrading for PS4/Xbox One down the road. So if I swap the pcb I will pretty much have to go with a PS360+.

The only other thing I can do is get a MC Cthulhu and wire it to the Q4 PCB and use the Qanba pcb as a the placeholder of a Toodles + 360 PCB mod because the Legacy console firmware with the Toodles is pretty appealing, but probably not worth the extra work.

I’ve heard nothing but good things about the ps360+. So is that a good option?

PS360+

Pros
Solderless/almost solderless install.
All-one-piece-solution for PS3/Xbox 360 owners.
built in RJ45 and USB Jacks
Mic and Player LED options.

Cons
PS360+ has some issues with certain PS2 titles on the PS2 and PS3
Like the Toodles PCBs it lacks VMU support for Dreamcast.
Slow on development for firmware expansion and PCB add-ons.
