Set in Washington, DC, Day 7 opens with CTU dismantled and JACK BAUER (Kiefer Sutherland) on trial.
Heh, how they simply don’t care

Spoiler

Bauers day takes an unexpected turn when former colleague TONY ALMEIDA (Carlos Bernard) returns.

Meanwhile, President ALLISON TAYLOR (Cherry Jones) leads the country alongside White House Chief of Staff ETHAN KANIN (Bob Gunton) and First Gentleman HENRY TAYLOR (Colm Feore).

A national security crisis prompts an investigation by a team of FBI agents including Agent JANIS GOLD (Janeane Garofalo), Agent RENEE WALKER (Annie Wersching), Agent LARRY MOSS (Jeffrey Nordling), Agent SEAN HILLINGER (Rhys Coiro) and security specialist MICHAEL LATHAM (John Billingsley). Although CTU is no longer, CHLOE OBRIAN (Mary Lynn Rajskub) and BILL BUCHANAN (James Morrison) are back for another momentous day of shocking events.

As part of News Corp.s global commitment to fighting climate change, 24 has pledged significant and innovative changes to its production practices with the goal of saving energy and reducing carbon emissions.**

Since they are probably going to show some major spoilers about the season after making that huge announcement last month, I’m still not going to spoil it for those not in the know, despite the fact that Season 6 may have effectively destroyed interest to even the most hardcore 24 fans. BTW, pay no mind to my gratuitous thread title…:wonder:

My birthday. 24 trailer time. The Boondocks finally returns. Bionic Commando returns. Street Fighter IV. Y2J. Duke Nukem Forever?! :lovin: I think October is my favorite month ever.

It’s time to whip out our TRIPLE P MAGNUM CUM LAUDE CONDOMS cuz there’s just too much jizz to be uncontrollably released. No homo.

Discuss. I want DUI tie-ins to the storyline… :wonder:

This is too good. Fuck Heroes.

#3

I want to care but I don’t.
I have mixed feelings about all of this. I’m very disappointed that the writers have resorted to reviving dead characters to keep people’s interest. I will continue to watch but the show will never be the same for me again. I now consider it to be a guilty pleasure which is a shame because it was a good show in the early seasons.
#6

my thoughts exactly.

#7

yeah well, it’s season 7, it’s hard to keep a show fresh and original after so many seasons.

#8
Unless it’s Jack fucking with China directly (as in: IN CHINA), then it’s probably over for me. I lost interest after Jack chain-fucked the main bad guy. Yeah, I know, I missed the whole China invading CTU, but like I said, I lost interest to continue (even that much).
COLM FEORE. Motherfucken FURIONS sans RIDDICK.

Maybe Bauer will be in teh UNDERVERSE.

S7 definitely sounds interesting, just to see if it turns out to be a savior or a trainwreck. No matter if 24 gets better or worse, the series that drew me in ended with S4. The show hasn’t had the same edge to it, even though I thought S5 was pretty decent (unpopular opinion I think).

Bauernite Geese Pants reporting…

I’m looking forward to see what they do with S7. I agree with Taito - S4 was the last really good season, 5 and 6 were really off. We’ll see if they turn things around with Lucky 7.

I am glad they’re bringing back Chloe (needs more attitude), Bucky, and…well…you know who.

About that, I think its interesting that they’ve been that up-front about it. Perhaps it means they’re no longer going to make the show one cheap thrill after another, which is really all that 6 was.

I am excited out about season 7 because the idea sounds fresh and I am bored.

I liked Season 1but the only reason I continued watching was because of the last 30 seconds of that season. You all KNOW what Im talking about.

Season 2 was amazing.

Season 3 was when I started noticing age. That is until the second half where each episode was just visual adreneline.

Season 4 turned into simple comic book villany. I loved it, but my common sense started to nag.

Season 5 I just couldnt get into. Looking back, I dont even know why. It had everything. Emotional deaths, intimidating threats, new villains, government conspiracy, cool white house story, and Robocop. I cant remember why it was so bad. Thats mostly because Season 6 was so terrible.

Season 6…god, the show is scarred beyond repair. I wish they could pull a Dallas and Jack wakes up on his dirty chinese futon saying “ooooh, it must have been a dream.” where he promptly escapes and wreaks havoc. It could work. Considering they are brining back people who convincingly died in front of us pushing the reset button isnt so much of a stretch.

I’m a 24 fan from beginning to end, unless they make Gumby into a terrorist and make Uwe Bol the director I’m still watching it to the very end.

#15

i am a bauernite to the end…let’s just hope that that isn’t too soon

#16

cant wait.

I wont be watching heroes and that retarded fat asian dude though

#17

i didnt even watch season 6

PUT DOWN YOUR WEAPON!

Oh…I’m in a pickle!

DROP IT!

No, sir!

fires

Good work, Gumby. That’s using the ol’ stomach.

silent clock

#19

Sadly that is where I fell off as well. I hung in for a few episodes but I couldn’t bring myself to record the season finale. I will definately try to give this season a fair shake but s5 through s6 were real let downs.

#20

I really don’t understand the hate for S5.

Sure, Hooded Jack vs. Diplomatic High-Security Plane is Cougar-Tier, and the countless deaths and near-deaths of popular characters (…uh, I was referring to Aaron and Martha…yeah…that’s it…) was, well, overkill, but did S5 not have the badassery of 24 that we all know and loved? And then some?

I felt the second half of S3 shot that leftover jizz from the tailend of S2’s monster cock with the entire S4 slowing things down a bit with the post-buttsecks catnap, with S5, to me, ready to pounce dat ass again, so I thoroughly enjoyed it despite some of the annoying nuances that had occurred. Do you all feel it didn’t deserve the Emmy that season? Yeah S2 was screwed, but still…

Granted, S6 ruined the holy-shit ending of S5, so unless they do pull a Dallas lol - including everything mentioned for S7 so far never exists as well - then it kinda does taints what S5 and S4 put together, for nothing.

More insights are welcome.
