well i have finally reached the solder stage of my Madcatz Arcade Stick PCB (common ground) and as I only have 2 days to finish the job, i would really appreciate some assistance.
The PCB solder points already have small predrilled holes. However the 22 gauge wire is slightly too large to fit through. I realise it’s not necessary to push the wire through (justs makes the job a lot easier and steadier).
My question is, can i remove one or 2 strands from the end of the wire and then twist it back together before soldering.? Or will this have adverse effects on the strength / current carrying capacity of the wire?
