Screws not holding top onto base?

Ok…so I’ve taken my stick apart like a million times and the nuts glued to the bottoms of the screw holes in the base of the TE stick are gone. Without those, there is nothing for the hex screws to grab. Reaching my hands under the screw holes to reattach the nuts is a no go, and I really don’t want to have to take the entire base apart to get to them.

Is there anything else I can do? I can’t be the only person to have this problem. I was thinking of putting locktite or silicone in the screw holes and then put the cover on, with the screws being held in that way…but I’m afraid I wont’ be able to take it apart again if I have a problem. Please help!!!

do you hear any rattling when you shake the stick?

that rattling is the nuts for your bolts
what keeps them in place when upside down is warranty goo
if that goo goes away, the nuts fall out and you get that problem

go and find those nuts inside the case and glue the nuts in the sockets

there isn’t enough space to get under the screw holes in most cases…that and I don’t think I have the nuts anymore.

Buy new nuts.

M4 nuts are what you need.

Unscrew it from the bottom. the TE will come completely apart the middle section will split into top and bottom halves. easy access.
