SF2 Tournaments

^^^ why do you reward the winners with a copy of ssf4? lol

but good job running tournament in Brazil!

I am just helping in sort of subtle ways (presence, advertisement, printing stuff and fixing at the local arcade), the ones from Curitiba are taking care of it. The one responsible for ST is [BR]earqueman, from GGPO.

They get SF4 as a stain for their weakness: be at the top or be just another loser!

you should take some pictures

i wonder how tournaments are like in brazil

^^^ first place winner gets ass. I’m talking triple A quality grade meat. And in Brazil, there is no shortage of prizes baby. oh yeah… CULOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

We will have pics, for sure.

Yeah, Paper, but it’s actually “cu”, only! That is Spanish! (This is extremely helpful information that will add to everyone’s overall knowledge)

HDR will be featured at Devastation 2011 this October, here in sunny Phoenix, Arizona!

Devastation dates: Friday Oct. 7th - Sunday Oct 9th.

Though the event runs from Friday, October 7th to Sunday, the HDR tournament won’t be held until Saturday at 7PM. So that’s nice for ppl who can’t take a 3-4 day weekend - you can drive out Saturday morning!

… pretty sure it’ll be on PS3 tho. I’m still gonna enter cause hey, HDR tournament less than 20 miles from me.

Hope to see some of you all there, too!

EDIT - Oh wow, that’s like… the week after next!

I recommend ppl print the ticket out rather than choose to have it mailed at this point, lol.

Me and EA Megaman are going. I know Cesar and his crew are going too. Devastation is always fun. See ya there!

We try hard to rep ST with Season’s Beatings, and our high-stakes event last year was a definite success.

We’re building on that this year at Season’s Beatings: Velocity.

2 H2H Japanese setups, Oct. 14-16
Friday = casuals+group event
$50 entry, Top 5 payout (at least) (Saturday). feat. Japanese, Damdai, Jason Cole, DGV, UltraDavid, James Chen, and more – WILL BE STREAMED on the main channel, Sat morn. 1st place guaranteed $1,000.
$10/person Team Tournament (Sunday)

Hope to see many of you there. We love SF2 and will continue to support it till the end of time, since the community still reps it hard!

Is this thread still being updated?

I put up a SF2 (ST and HDR) tournament calendar up on my site a little while back.

I have been doing a crap job of updating the 1st post, but yeah people do post up new tournaments when they’re announced. By all means, feel free to post new ones (ST, HDR, HF, etc.) when you hear about them

I just noticed that this hasn’t been posted here yet: WE’RE ONE WEEK AWAY!

We are happy to announce that Mike Watson’s SUPER ARCADE will be sponsoring the ST tournament at SoCal Regionals: THE SUPER ARCADE CUP!

With all the support Watson has been giving the ST community here in SoCal with Wednesday Night Fights and more, this was a great way to bring Super Arcade and the SCR ST tournament together.

There are three ways to register:
[]We have registration link on the page where you can pay through Paypal.
]You can register with DGV or MuffinMan at WNF.
[*]You can register on-site on the day of the tournament aka late registration, which will be $25 (this includes the additional $5 for late registration). Registration closes at 12PM. We highly encourage interested participants to register early =D
For everyone who has already signed-up through the old SCR page, you’ll need to officially register through the new page.

I see no irony.

In case anyone here missed it:

For the 25th anniversary of Street Fighter, the most legendary names in fighting games will compete for a projected $3000+ at EVO in the granddaddy of them all: Super Street Fighter II Turbo. The timeless storylines of East vs West, U.S. vs Japan and Old Guard vs New School will clash in the most ageless, accessible and eternally intense fighter ever.
And you can earn a spot in the championship 16-man Main Event! Win one of seven tournaments across the U.S. to see your name up in lights against true legends of the fighting-game community (see schedule below).

Log on to www.kuroppi.com/tournamentoflegends/fanvotebetween February 15th and February 27th to vote for your favorite competitor, earning them an invite in July’s championship. The winner will be announced on February 28th on the Box Arena stream. Keep checking for more details, including confirmed competitors, interviews and more. We will be announcing US and Japanese invites over the coming weeks.

We aim to host the most exciting and stacked 16-player tournament in ST’s long history and provide a spectacular show for fighting-game lovers around the globe. U.S. and Japanese stars with the most extensive competitive resumes who do not qualify at any official event will be chosen by a panel of tournament organizers and Super Turbo experts to fill the remaining qualifier slots, ensuring that we truly host a Tournament of Legends.
