should i unplug my ascii flash clone from my computer when not being used ? will it make the “bulbs” burn out ? or are they only activated when used ? anyone have any knowledge ?

The IR leds will always be on when powered, so if you’re concerned about the ‘bulb life’, unplug it.

man i tell you what ive probably played way more than 3000hours with my p360 and its never failed me. and ive played a TON with my sanwa flash and its never failed… usually i damage the cord before anything.

i dont think it will ever fail on you… i mean its meant to last like i dont know how long… but longer than say a microswitch with 1million presses.

Yeah, LEDs have a waaaay longer life than bulbs. You’ll be playing games with brain power before that thing dies.
