Yop, i’ve been playing Street Fighter II New Challengers on my SNES for about 9 or so years on and off(not competitively), and I think i’m about ready to move up to 3rd Strike. I’ve also been using the SNES pad till now and am looking for the best arcade stick that works on all(?) platforms… this includes PC, PS2, PS3, 360, Wii… is there something out there like this? Guess it would be some sort of universal USB… hope you can help!
This would probably be better in the Tech Talk section. Toodles is selling universal PCBs in the Trading Outlet.
Ah thanks, I should have paid more attention, did’nt even see this board. The build you own stick is too complicated for myself. I’m looking for a store bought one, but I guess there’s no such thing as people are going through all that trouble for Toodles universal.
The UPCB is mostly for do-it-yourself type people. Getting one I build isn’t hard, just very expensive.
With all do respect Toodles, $225 US is a bit too much for me, maybe to narrow it down, is there a stick that will play PS3,PC,360 that I can buy at the store?
For PS3 and PC the Hori Fighting Stick 3 and Hori Real Arcade Pro 3 will work. HFS can be bought at Gamestop and HRAP online.
For X360 and PC the DOA4 stick and the soon to be released VF5 stick will work. The DOA4 stick can be found on EBay and in the Trading Forums and the VF5 stick will be sold at Gamestops as well.
As for something that works with PS3 AND X360, there is no simple, cheap answer for that right now.
Ah, I see… I live in Canada so no Gamestop, but i’ll give EB Games a call, neither(GS or EB) have it on their website but maybe they will have the HFS3 in stores.
Is there any reason to pick one over the other(HFS/HRAP)?
EDIT: Can the HFS3 or HRAP play on PS2? or PS2 games on the PS3?
I say get an HRAP2 and the Pelican PS2->PS3 converter. The HRAP2 is an awesome PS2 stick and that converter will let it play on the PC and PS3 perfectly.
just as Sazae says and then buy also a PS2->Xbox/Xbox360 converter
