The Southeast major is back and I can’t wait for April 22-23 to get here. It’s a new year and I guess I couldn’t stay away from throwing another FinalRound this year. From Cali to Canada I hope you guy’s will attend this years event.
1st of all, I would like to thank all of the people that support the FR tournaments and support the ATL South scene when you attend FR. I hope to see everyone from last year back for this year’s event and drag some of your friends that didn’t attend with you last year. Last years event was the biggest ever! We had over 100+ entries in T5 and 90+ in 3S and I hope everyone can make it back this year.
Alot of people in the ATL South don’t get the chance to travel around the nation to play against top players, so FR is an outlet for them to play the best in the southeast and hopefully other regions top players will come down to the dirty south. The history of FINAL ROUND is based on the"Console Warriors" style tournament. But now we have arcade cabinet’s at Final Round. We will have atleast 3-4 arcade cabinets on games that the console version are truly not worth playing on a tournament level.
Games like 3S, ST, Alpha 3 will be in arcade cabinets some having Perfect 360’s and
other’s having 8 way standard switch joysticks. The arcade cabinets are donated by
different players in the southeastern community. I really appreciate all of the support from those that always help out me and the southeast scene. I will put a star(*) by the games that will be on the cabinet’s and the rest will be on console.
There is a entry fee that is separate from the entry fee to each tournament. FR9 entry fee is “$10”. (This fee is to pay for the venue only and is not apart of
game fee’s) I need FR9 to pay for itself. Last year most of the outlet’s had
no-power on the capcom side of the tournament room 2 hours before FR8
started. I was about to go crazy on the hotel event manager, but he gave me the
tekken side of the ballroom for free. This was truely a blessing sent down by
brian and craig last year because we really needed both of those rooms to run
FR8 smoothly. With that said, I need to get both of those rooms again and they

Rules: All game Double Elim.–Best 2 out of 3
128 man cap on each game tournament!
On all console tournament games:
This is a (B.Y.O.C. = Bring Your Own Controller/converter or Joystick) tournament for all of the console games being played at FR9. You are responsible for your equipment and we will not supply anyone with a controller or converter at this tournament for any console tournament. I’m missing 2 PS2 to DC converters and 2 joysticks from previous finalround’s, so untill those item’s are returned to me I will never lend my shit out again.
If you hit the start button or a malfunction in your equipment happens during a
match that makes the game pauses or resets during a tournament match you
automatically lose that match. (NO QUESTIONS ASKED!) If the match is 1-1 and
this malfunction happens. The person who’s equipment malfunction will goto the
losers bracket, unless your opponent agree’s to replay the match. Replays are
automatic if it’s at the beginning of the match and you have played 5-10 seconds in the game with no one having an advantage in the fight. This count’s for the dreaded blue screen that people hate about console tournaments. It’s not my problem if “YOUR STICK” malfunction’s during a tournament.
Button shouldering will “NOT” be allowed at FR9 in any game!
CvS2: RC is allowed, winner must keep the same characters and order. The loser can change everything.
3S(*): Winner keeps the same character, but can change your super art. Loser get’s to change everything. YOU CAN’T WIN A MATCH BY WINNING A
MvC2: No gamebreaking glitches (you know what they are!) Jugg’s glitch allowed.
Winner keeps the same character and order and the loser changes everything.
T5: Player must agree on a stage, if not then random select the stage. No last stage used in the tournament. If that stage gets picked by random select, then you just choose another infinite stage. Winner keeps same character, losers can change
ST(*): No akuma, Winners keep the same character and losers can change
SC3: Winner keeps the same character’s and losers can change.
Games: 2/3 (3/5 for Losers Finals, and Grand Finals)

Neutral Guard [ON]
Stage Select [OFF]
Zasalamel re-throw 46B+G banned (single cancel + follow-up allowed)
Custom (Create-A-Soul) Characters Banned
GGXX (Slash and Reloaded): winner keeps the same character and the losers can change characters.

NGBC Winner keeps the same character and the loser can change characters. “GOODMAN” is banned. Everyone else is playable.
Any Team Tournament rules: You “can not” have 2 people using the same character on your team. So you better make your team wisely.
If you are playing in multiple games you need to notify a organizer when you are about to play in another game, so they can skip your match on the brackets and come back to you after you completed the other tournament match.
Also once the tournament starts you are responsible for knowing when your next
match will come up. If you have to go for a food or bathroom break, then "PLEASE"
notify the judge at your station or “me” that you will be gone for a few minutes. The
judge should beable to tell you when your next game will be and how long you have before your next match up. Just act like you have been to a tournament before people and everything will run smoothly.
Anyone that get’s out of line inside or outside of the hotel will force me to call the
police on you. I know everyone watchs the “Boondocks” on the cartoon network. I
don’t want another “NIGGA MOMENT!” at this years event. Keep that "BullShit"
online or at home. I don’t care where you keep it just don’t bring that Bullshit to FR9. Act like you have some home training people.
P.S.- No one “STILL” hasn’t defeated Clint in any Tekken at Final Round when he
entered, thus the “Clint Inventational” will continue. Maybe he has retired and won’t be at this years event.

We are making a FR9 dvd and “any person('s)” using “any” footage at FR9 without “MY” blessing for “profit” will be sued! No question’s asked. We have a lawyer and we aren’t afraid to use him. It’s cool to record matches for personal use, but I request that the TOP 8 in “ANY TOURNAMENT” not be recorded for making a dvd or selling the footage for personal gain/profit. This type of action will get you a letter in the mail summoning you to Atlanta, Ga. to goto court.
This is not a threat. This is the truth and will happen if anyone tries to make a profit off of what I worked so damn hard to build up for 9 years. Thank you for understanding and respecting my rules.
