IS THIS STILL NOT STICKIED???

#543

The blog is down. Bummer. Good read though.

#544

Pretty bummed by this too. The whole story is fascinating.

@ anoon

Hi, I totally enjoyed the movie, and I got a problem with accessing your blogs. When I tried to, all I got was this, “Paumanhin, ang blog sa alan-noon.blogspot.com ay natanggal. Ang address na ito ay hindi magagamit para sa bagong mga blog. (Sorry, the blog at alan-noon.blogspot.com is deleted. This address is not available for new blogs.)” Can you help?

#546

I have a friend who refuses to acknowledge that this movie has actually been made. He will literally stop talking to me if I mention it.

#547

The last time Alan signed in was like 2 years ago, bro.

#548

Oh hey. I’m back. What’s up?

#549

Oh, hey there.

Nuttin’. That blog you were working on about documenting your ups and downs with the project seems to be offline now. Are your thoughts still collected elsewhere?

#550

@Anoon what did you think of the Fighterpedia video?

#551

You know, to your credit, the classic themes that were snuck into the game weren’t all that bad.

Some were lackluster but others had a unique sound that I could appreciate.

This address is not available for new blogs.” What gives?

#553

Man… I feel bad that it took me 7 years to finally get around to really reading this! I think I just got burned pretty badly on the movie and the games! Would’ve been great to see some of the pictures anoon posted…

Hello. I realise I’m rather late to the party - I’ve read the PDF with the story some 4 years ago, but I only discovered this thread within the last week. Both were great reads, very informative and enlightening. Thanks a lot for sharing, anoon!

In the doc/thread you mentioned how the throws in SFTM were reversed. I’ve noticed that Chun Li’s an exception - her throws work they way they do in SFII. Any idea why that might be? And how come apparently nobody noticed this discrepancy during play testing?

Also, a bit off-topic here, but you guys mentioned earlier in this thread that Ken’s supposed to be part Japanese. Where does it say so? Because the way I see it, if it’s not in the classic games, it doesn’t count - and if it’s in the modern games, it’s a shameless retcon.

#555

That’s been canon since the 90s.

#556

Could you give me some source, please?

#557

Ken dyes his hair blonde to look more American. That’s why his eyebrows aren’t blonde. Ken’s wife and Guile’s wife are sisters. Learn the lore, brah.

#558

NERD!

#559

Again, where does this come from? I don’t remember any of the games making a mention of this.

#560

I believe it’s from official mooks/sourcebooks from Japan. You should check the old plot guide.
