"Such A Lovely Face" Anna Williams

Thought I would start an Anna thread. Here you can discuss combos, strats, set-ups, new moves, etc.

Let’s begin with some of her new moves.

b+4. Anna’s universal tracking move. Safe on block. Hits mid and knocks opponent back on CH. I can see this being used to setup reversals and launchers. Anna really needed this move. Use this move in your poke game.

d/b+4,4. low kick into autothrow. This can really be useful if your opponent ducks alot. Use it wisely. It’s unsafe on block.

CJM, u/f+4. Safe launcher.

CJM auto parries lows. The properties have changed from DR. The auto parry is now a launcher. IMO that makes it one of the best moves in the game.

CJM, 4. It’s the same as qcf+4. Its safe on block, and crushes high.

d/f+3,2~d/f. This leads into a crouch dash. This adds to her mixup game. This can be used in juggles. e.g. d/f+2, d/f+1, d/b+1(B), d/f+3,2~d/f, 1, f+2+3. Now if I’m wrong on this; please let me know.

Some good advice there.

Just adding to it is Anna’s wall ender of choice should be df+1,2,F+2+3. Does lots of damage and gives you great oki (mind games). The best way to make sure it works consistantly is to hold the 2 down at the end of df+1,2 and then just add F+3.

After the F+2+3 connects, if they stay grounded a good old stomp (d+3+4) will do nice damage, if they quick stand go for a uf+1+2 throw for another wall splat and unlike DR you’ll not eat a low after it connects. Next time around, they will quick stand and try to duck the throw which you can then throw out a df+2 to re-juggle them back into the wall.
