Super Smash Bros Melee For The Nintendo Revolution!?

#1

**i was just reading up on revolution and read this small bit of info.

A: Believe it or not, there are already a number of top-tier titles in development for Nintendo’s next-generation console. At E3 2005, the company revealed that a Revolution sequel to Super Smash Bros. Melee is being readied for the launch of the new system. Even better, the game will be Wi-Fi compatible, enabling players to fight it out against each other online. In addition, brand new Zelda and Mario titles are underway for the upcoming machine.

It was announced at the press conference, it’s proabably going to be a launch title.

#3

Old to smash fans but still thanks for the info.

Hope they still have wavedeshing and l-cancelling!

#4

If they leave airdodging and traction in the game, then there will still be wavedashing. And as for L-Cancelling, it was there ever since SSB64 (Z-cancelling was even on the official website). I think it’s safe to say that all those techniques will still be there.

On the other hand, they better not take out shinecancelling with Fox or Falco.

#5

I have a feeling the game is going to do a complete 180 from the 2d tradition of the series…

-Syn
(i hope not)

#6

I don’t think so. I think it might be 2.5D elements ala Kirby 64 but I don’t think they’ll divert from a system that has worked so long so well.

I just hope they have Wario.:razzy:

#7

co-sign
And Rick the Hamster and Pit.

#8

Here’s hoping whatever the Revolution’s new control system is doesn’t dumb down the game in any shape or form.

Also lets useless clones like Dr. Mario and Young Link. Although I wouldn’t mind seeing Fusion Samus.

#9

Dr.Mario isn’t useless by any means.

#10

I agree with the other guy. Young Link and Doc need to go. IMO they are “useless” clones – they’re just way too similar to their original counterparts.

-Syn

#11

then lets get rid of ken, and sakura too ^.^ sarcasm

#12

I agree, too. I know that Dr. M is actually just a hair better than regular Mario, but he has almost the exact same moves. Practically identical, even more so than Ken and Ryu post SF2. And it isn’t that I mind him being there, it’s just that there are other characters that they left out and I’d much rather have. Like Wario. WTF were they thinking leaving Wario out?

I’d rather have some truly new characters than Dr. M, Pichu, and Young Link.

#13

It’s just because Syn plays Mario. =P

#14

Dr.Mario has kill moves so w/e.

#15

IMO Y. Link was the most useless clone. At least Dr. Mario has more kill moves than Mario and is a tad stronger, Y.Link just has flaming arrows, a “diffrent” spin attack, and bombs that supposedly cause more explosions.

#16

Nah…>_>…nah…

Shut up you…

Somebody mentioned Pichu. I’d definitely nominate him as the most useless character in the game.

#17

roy …

meh, he’s still higher tier than young link and pichu

i think the clones should have their own move set

#18

**any word from the rumor mill as to what new characters to expect?

ABASI!**

#19

The only one I’d be interested in is KING HIPPO.

…seriously.

#20

Fuck you Pichu haters, that sum’bitch can WALL JUMP and, er, um, hurt himself when he attacks you! Yeah! That’s EX-FUCKING-TREME!!!

Yeah, he’s useless, but I still don’t want to see him or the other “clones” (Falco, Roy, Ganondorf, Young Link, Doc Mario, Luigi) gone. They’re coo’.
