so it wouldnt be a bad idea to get the 1st gen? it would pretty much be the same quality right?

#5

The only major difference between the two that I see are aesthetic. They both use basically the same internal parts so unless you really don’t like the way the original TE looks, there’s nothing really wrong with settling for the original. Besides it’s more than likely you’re going to mod it anyways right?

#6

as soon as i get some cash, but right now i just want something thats reliable with good performance parts that wont cop out on my after a year of use

#7

On the MvC arcade stick and The TE “S” stick you have listed it has a Modified PCB that reverses the placement of the L’s and R’s. What exactly does that mean? I’m trying to get a stick and would like to know wat is that and what does it does with that that the older sticks can"t do. Thanks.

#8

The arcade layout for MvC2 is
:lp::hp::assta:
:lk::hk::asstb:

On the 360/PS3, the assist buttons default to LB and RB. However, the non-MvC2 TE’s layout is
X Y RB LB
A B RT LT

which turns your button layout into this:
:lp::hp::asstb::assta:
:lk::hk::hk::hp:

The MvC2 TE swaps the position of those buttons so that the button layout is correct for MvC2.
If you play SFIV using the MvC2 TE, you have to change your button layout to the Controller Type-B preset.
You can always just open up the TE and rearrange the quick disconnects to change the button layout to your liking, though.

Planning on buying MvC3, few questions
#9

Normal PlayStation 3 TE:
[] /\ R1 L1
X O R2 L2

Marvel vs. Capcom PlayStation 3 TE:
[] /\ L1 L2
X O R1 R2

Normal Xbox 360 TE:
X Y RB LB
A B RT LT

Marvel vs. Capcom Xbox 360 TE:
X Y LB LT
A B RB RT

That is what d3v saying.

Wrong first gen TE’s had PCB Issues, If you do get a first-gen TE get a round #2 they fixed the pcb issue in that one.

#11

So basically wat ur saying is that if I wanted to get a TE for SSFIV go wit Rd 2? Also could I change my configuration of my button layout on the MvC stick? Glad u told me this so I might just go with a Rd 2. I have only found one here in Atlanta at one store. Just wanted sum opinions before I plunk down 150.00 on a stick.

#12

Yes round2 is your best option or go with the new madcatz ssfiv sticks made for ssfiv but i haven’t seen them in any stores yet only online.

#13

You know what cancel that last post. The MvC stick is perfect for me cuz my SFIV layout is (X-Heavy Kick Y-Med Kick LB-Low Kick LT-All 3 Kick Buttons A-Heavy Punch B-Med Punch RB-Weak Punch RT-3 Punch Buttons) So that button Layout is so perfect. Man I really do appreciate all ur help. Now on to get a stick.

#14

If you have a Fry’s try them. They have them here in Atlanta but only like 1 or 2 for each system.

#15

I live in columbus they don’t have a local fry’s

#16

Some numbers to throw out.

Comic-Con
250/250 for Xbox 360
250/250 for PlayStation 3

Femme Fatale
350/350 for PlayStation 3
650/650 for Xbox 360

Word.

#17

???

#18

Those are the numbers that were available for sale.

#19

Too expensive. 140.00 for the Rd 2 here.

#20

Yea that’s the same price they’re going for here too.
