Television General Discussion

Back when resort got cancelled I didn’t really care, but past 3 episodes were really good.

I couldn’t hold out any longer and ordered spartacus blood and sand on bluray. Cant wait to watch it again. The half season prequel costs more than the full season though :frowning:

So they cancelled Leverage and aired the series finale last night. :frowning:

In an era where a lot of original cable dramas are overly heavy (Breaking Bad, Walking Dead, Homeland, etc), Leverage was that light show you just sit back and enjoy without being tense. I doubt it will go down in television history, but it feel like it succeeded in what it’s showrunners wanted to achieve - a fun show, where the little guy got to stick it to the big guys every week.

I still say Leverage had one of the best set of characters and chemistry on television during it’s run.

And to be fair, the finale was exactly what it should’ve been. Great way to end it.

Whoahhhh… “The Taste” features my honey Nigella! I am immediately sold on that show. I would ravage that anytime, any place. Of course I’d rather it just focus on her and not include Anthony at all. More Nigella on my tv screen is a good thing. A better, more appealing combo would be her and Giada on one show.

*Good to see that “Being Human” still exists! I’m hoping for a marathon so I can get caught up and refreshed… eh, netflix (yep, both versions are on there last I checked) could take care of that for me if SyFy doesn’t though.

*The MADNESS that is American Horror Story was back in session last night. I still haven’t watched the first season of it though. Sadly, one of the coolest characters died last night.

Can someone explain to me the point of Lost Girl?
I mean the main character is hot…but I couldn’t get into the show because Bo needs to die a bloody death.

It reminded me… I had to look this up again [details=Spoiler][media=youtube]RtS2Ikk7A9I[/media] [/details]
Delicious.

Yay suits and spartacus. Rewatched season one of spartacus over the weekend. Just so brilliant.

Continuum was pretty cool (aired in canadia already). Rachel nichols (scarlet from gijoe movie) is pretty hot if you can get over the growth by her eye.

Will check out the americans and the following. Whats th3 differ3nce between the us and the bbc versions or are they unrelated?

Im pretty sure shameless is back in January as well?

when the fuck is breaking bad

@Million.** THANK YOU** for sharing that video. Made my fukin’ day!
On topic, anyone else here a fan of Psych? Watched all season in Netflix and enjoyed every eps. Also finally seen Firefly and the Serenity movie followup. I can definitely understand why there was a public outcry when the show got cancelled.

For the most part, Bo is trying to find out who she is, amidst the conflicting Fae sides (light/dark spirits and mythical entities) that want her to join/choose their side, while doing a job as a sort of private investigator that does odd jobs for humans and Fae alike.

Dunno how it is now since I haven’t watched it in a while.

According to the list, Showtime has a few shows coming back on Sunday, January 13, 2013 (Shameless, House of Lies, Californication)

Despereaux need to show up again in the new season for some lolz.

So I’m watching kids tv with my son and lo and behold citv (uk only) are doing an old school weekend… That means fraggle rock, nightmare, count duckula, super gran, tbag, sooty etc what a treat!

This weeks ep of Person of Interest was pretty good, I was thinking they made it too easy for them to get him out of jail.

oh and ARROW coming back in january as well i think.

I’ve been hearing really good things about Arrow. Initially I wrote it off as just another DC show to fill the hour Smallville used to air in.

More info on Defiance, SyFy’s new epic:

Julie Benz Jamie murray and mia kirshner?! Will give it a shot for the hot pieces factor.

Sarah Shahi joining Person of Interest:

Top Chef: Seattle

Spoiler

The setup in tonight’s episode in regard to next week’s Restaurant Wars episode was interesting in having the chef-testants pitch their restaurant concept with a dish that would represent their restaurant, with the 2 winners being the executive chefs for their teams in the Restaurant Wars episode. Interesting twist with the 2 winners having to pick their teams not knowing who would still be eliminated on tonight’s episode.

Winners: Kristen and Sheldon
Girls (4) vs Guys (3), in regards to team selection, going into Restaurant Wars.

LCK is pretty lolz so far considering who is ‘still’ winning (CJ).
On the other hand, I’m content with the current winner of the 'Save a Chef’ competition (Kuniko).

Considering the chefs that are left remaining, this could be a season in which a female chef wins.
If that were the case, it would probably be either Kristen or Brooke, IMO.

Personally, I’m rooting for Sheldon, though. Shoutouts to the local boy representing the 808.

I enjoyed Elementary tonight, I think they introduced Moriarty well, that said I think I may have found out his identity already.
For those members of SRK that watch that show and care enough about my ramblings or the show to read.Spoilers for tonights episode included

[details=Spoiler] I believe that Moriarty is actually Sherlock’s father. The foreshadowing is there. When Watson reads the text message from his father he is listed as** M.** Holmes, and I believe it is a Easter egg set up for people to go, oh that was a clue on second watches. He also follows the same M.O as Moriarty so far in his treatment of Sherlock.

Both used another to complete their goal, communicating through text message only, both are mysterious characters that the audience doesn’t see etc.Moriarty had to hire a Hitman to perform his crimes, and the hitman liked high end things, so he had to be rich, like Sherlock’s dad. It also makes the fact that a apparently aloof and uncaring father would suddenly seem to take interest in Sherlock’s sobriety, it’s not because he feels for his sons life, it’s because his addiction took him out of the game, and he needed to be better to start again, thus why he only showed up when Sherlock was better, and so easily knew where he was. Sherlock would never notice something wrong with his father, as he wants nothing to do with him.

Yes I got this off of one initial, and am probably reading too much into it, but it adds up [/details]
