There is a small satchel hanging from his waist (it holds his shurikens). Geki’s Jika-Tabi (split toe ninja boots) are the same steel gray color as his head band. His entire ensemble is devoid of any logos or identifying marks.

Tone: Geki is quiet. He’s rarely ever seen and even more rarely heard. If you see or hear Geki, it’s because he wants you to.

Origins: Geki is complete mystery. Is he one ninja or a clan of ninja sharing a single identity? The last time a Geki was seen was during Sagat’s invitational World Martial Arts Tournament. Various rumors implied that he was their to assassinate one of the fighters. Depending who tells you the rumor the target of Geki changes. The one thing that is known is that if a ninja going by the name of Geki is seen. Someone requires a mission of with great difficulty completed. With the fall of Shadaloo, various organizations seek to fill the power vacuum left behind. Could Geki be targeting one of those organizations on the behest of arrival. One can only speculate.

Critical Art:

Miezaru Shūgeki (Unseen Assault): Geki hits his foe with massive smoke bomb that obscures the middle 1/3 of the screen. A rapid succession of impact sparks can be seen all over the smoke cloud. When cloud clears Geki and his seemingly unharmed foe are standing next to each other. Geki’s foe then slowly slump to their knees before falling backward. (24 hits 360 damage).

Reasons to be in SFV:**

Geki was hired by his client to infiltrate the Secret Society and gather intel on their activities. He enters the World Martial Arts Tournament as cover for his true mission. He seems to recognize all the fighters that “Geki” came across in his last tournament appearance. Whether that’s because he’s the same man or because he’s been expertly debriefed remains to be seen.

*-Geki begins each round with 8 shurikens. Like Ibuki, there is an indicator showing the number of Shurikens he has left.

-Geki lacks the pure damage output of Ibuki. However his multitude of movement options makes him quite elusive. His V-Trigger gives him access to a wide variety of juggle combos. His stun output is high. Geki players would basically hit and run their opponents. Fill up their stun gauge and use his moveset to turn up the pressure.*[/details]

Yeah I try to do my best but I have to rely on Miðgarðsorm , he’s the SRK master linguist. I’d be at loss without him. My Ingrid and Kosmus concepts wouldn’t have been the same without him.

Here’s a rough bit that’s W.I.P. I really can’t match your research on martial arts moves lol

Here’s a character I first made on unity that I’ve been continually updating for a project I’m working on. Yagami helped me update him further and today was spent fleshing out his place in SF canon. At first I named him Louis Green, a tribute to Al Green and Louis Armstrong (had a strong music motif) going to re-sprite him again soon.

Hot 5 Repeater:
Each input of the move hits in factors of 5; one input (Light) is 5 hits, two (medium and hard) are 10, though hard ends with a flaming, rising hit that can be extended by combos. Armstrong throws a flurry of Leopard punches and elbows.

-Burning In:
A quick jumping roundhouse that is followed an axe kick from the opposite leg upon landing. During the kicks, a flame forming an X is created and travels forward.

Origins: The world of fighting has always had an effect on Armstrong. Early in his career he was assigned to cover the US Martial Arts championship and eventually the infamous second annual World Warrior’s tournament. The world of fighting bore secrets and world-changing ones at that, thus his niche was forged.

One fateful day, during an assignment in Hong Kong, a commotion broke out in the local marketplace. A woman and child were being harassed by a foul, drunken man. The woman showed poise, grace, and a suppressed strength, but clearly the man had some sort of emotional hold over her.

Despite his increasingly crude and belligerent tone, no one sprung to the duo’s aid. Opting to be a good Samaritan, Armstrong attempted to offer aid, but was continually beaten to within an inch of his life by the surprisingly skilled drunk. Refusing to abandon to mother and child, the journalist would repeatedly rise before being crushed time and time again. Before a death-blow could be struck, the aggressor froze in his tracks, dead on his feet. The young woman from before had buried her faintly illuminated knuckles in the man’s side, killing him with a single strike.

To show her gratitude for his courage and tenacity against overwhelming odds, she offered to train Armstrong alongside her father, a master of Leopard Kung Fu.

Armed with a better understanding of the world of fighting, Armstrong continued to balance Kung Fu and investigative journalism and dove headfirst into hunt for the truth behind Shadaloo’s massive influence and corruption.

Street Fighter V:
Following the Black Moon’s incident, Armstrong intensified his work into publicizing Shadaloo’s sins and the sheer depths of their influence. His previous journalistic contributions paled in comparison to the dearth of material he was supplied with once Shadaloo fell. Politicians, Philanthropists, celebrities and commanding officers – people of all makes and models were underlings of Bison.

Chun Li and Guile had previously floated information Armstrong’s way, but with Karin Kanzuki establishing a tournament, he would be able to get up close and personal to those who were on the front lines. Some of Shadaloo’s most infamous members had disappeared into the night and they had to be brought to justice.

Street Fighter 3:
Armstrong had gained a Pulitzer. He had also gained the attention of powerful people who weren’t so willing to lose everything in the interest of public knowledge and justice. Armstrong may have been a driving force of a massive expose, but he would not be the first victim.

Threats, beatings, a fire and eventually the coma of a close friend and colleague destroyed Armstrong. Plummeting into an ever-deepening spiral, the journalist-turned-fighter, was offered and gladly accepted fluff pieces.

One assignment by his concerned editor had him investigate an urban legend borne from the deepest corners of Metro City. Something about a ubiquitous figure found at crime scenes and featured glowing eyes.

“What the heck, could be an excuse for a vacation” slurred Armstrong. And so, he departed for another adventure, one that hopefully would be nothing more than talking to imaginative Americans.

@Shockdingo You’ve done good job mapping out your narrative basis for Armstrong. I’ll give you some advice from a moveset standpoint. Think about how you would want the character to play. That’s more important than the art itself. Once you know what play style your character will have, it makes easier to know which elements of their art to use.

As for their arts themselves, there are plenty of good sources that you can find via Google. Youtube is actually pretty good as well once you know the specific technique you want to base an attack on. You can often find people demonstrating various techniques and that can make it easier to visualize how an exaggerated version of that skill would work in Street Fighter. Once you have those things, your move set will usually fall into place. Often you’ll see someone perform a technique that will give inspiration for moves you hadn’t even contemplated before.

Origins: Tahiry is the daughter of Tsiraka the “Monsoon of Madagascar”. Her father was the greatest Moraingy champion that Madagascar has ever known. Her two older brothers, Tsiory and Tanjona, followed in their father’s foot steps. While they both became solid fighters with great technique, they lacked Tsiraka’s natural talent. Tahiry was different. Her father frowned upon her becoming a fighter. Undeterred, Tahiry would watch her father train her brothers and then on her own mimic what see saw. Without any formal training and without her father’s blessing, Tahiry would travel to opposite end of Madagascar and compete. She instinctually commanded water and wind based ki. This along with incredible speed made her an unbeatable fighter. It’s hard to defeat a foe you can’t hit. Despite his initial misgivings, her father was proud of his daughter for forgiving her own path. If she could do so well on her own, what could she do with formal training?

I’m debating on whether I should bother converting my original character concept from SFIV to an SFV format. My very first concept is the only one that I haven’t posted. The character was a Greek female Pankration fighter. I’ve subsequently created two female Pankration fighters for SFV. So I don’t know if I should bother. Even though the move sets are not the same. I think it maybe a bit redundant. What do you all think?

Edit: Here is my very fist concept for reference. Terentia was her name.

Origin of Special/Super/Ultra Move names: Each of her moves is named after a different greek goddess. I tried to avoid the more famous ones but I couldn’t think of a better goddess than Artemis for her projectile. I tried as best as I could to match the goddesses abilities with her moves. Philrya being the exception. Philyra was actually the goddess of the region of Greece that Terentia is from. That being the case, I named Terentia’s most powerful moves for Philyra.

@Savagery I used to do quotes for SFIV concepts, but I stopped doing them. I’ll be honest, I was just being lazy. It is a good way to convey the characters personality. I won’t make any promises but I’ll see about including quotes in the future. I should have reserved more posts at the beginning of the thread. If I go back and add quotes, I won’t have enough room.

Reasons to be in SFV:
Kwan has little interest in the tournament itself. He enters under the guise of bringing glory to his homeland. In truth, he only enters to gather information on the remnants of Shadaloo. Kwan seeks to take command of whats left of Shadaloo and forge it into his own organization. One that he would use to bring hope to his homeland.

I have an idea almost fleshed out. Just have to hash out the origin and reasons to be in SFV. A fighter from Tunisia and another servant of Urien. I wonder if anyone can guess his martial art.

I would prefer Urien’s servants remain his experiments (and Dr. Woo). He doesn’t seem like the type that trusts humans and he outsources his dirty work so that members of the Society don’t know what he’s up to.

I think a “Thirteen” (working name) with the best qualities about Twelve and none of his character weaknesses would be a good character in a post-3S world.

Urien doesn’t trust anyone. Urien like Bison views people merely as tools to achieve his own ends. With Gill having a powerful servants, Urien would want the same as a counter measure. Plus he seems to like it when people give deference to his superiority. I’d also see Urien disposing of them as soon as they were no longer useful to him.
