Trailer looks incredible. I’m thrilled they kept the Misty Mountains song, and made it badass. My only worry is it seems like more of a movie being made to tie in to LOTR rather than succeed on its own merits. I can’t wait for an all Dwarf battle.

I hope they do the Necromancer/Sauron right too

Nope just two. An Unexpected Journey followed by There And Back Again. I’m hearing the second one will mostly tie things between Hobbit and LOTR.

Yeah, I think they added a lot of stuff to the film to connect it to the LOTR. These characters are confirmed, though they’re not in the book: Legolas Galadriel Radagast the Brown Saruman Old Bilbo Frodo Also, there is a new female elf character, Tauriel, that is supposed to draw in female viewers. She will have an expanded role like Arwen in the LOTR movies, despite being completely made up.
