TST 7: Bigger Than Ever! - Aug. 11-12th, 2012, Winnipeg, MB

#1

It’s official. The big one is coming. “That Summer Tournament” aka TST is back! We still have a lot to announce but we wanted to get that date out there so you guys have a lot of time to prepare. Mark it down on your calendars. Book that time off. Tell all your friends. We want to make this one our biggest and we need you to make it possible.

We’re doing some heavy discussion behind the scenes for the next couple weeks so expect info to be revealed earlier than usual but it is definitely time to get hype!

Date: August 11th - 12th, 2012

Venue:

As promised. This year’s TST will be taking place outside the UofM. It has been confirmed for Canad Inns on Pembina by the Tavern if you’re familiar. Here’s the full address and the room number:

Ambassador Room A

Canad Inns Destination Centre Fort Garry
1824 Pembina Highway
Winnipeg, MB R3T 2G2

ph: (204) 261-7450 fx: (204) 261-5433
tf: 1-888 33-CANAD (22623)

Venue Fee: 5$

Yes, there is a registration fee this year. It’s necessary to cover the costs of the venue rental. However, if you don’t wish to enter tournaments, site entrance is still free and gets you access to casual play, exhibitions, and/or money matches.

Registration usually begins 1 or 2 hours before each tournament, so get there early and warm up some too.

If you wish to enter any tournament, you pay for the tournament entry fees on top of the 5 dollars.

Updates!

TST 7 is an official Canada Cup 2012 Team Canada Wildcard Qualifier! The qualifier will be part of the AE2012 tournament that is happening at TST 7. This is open to Canadian players only (sorry to any of the US states coming by). More details will come soon, but I think that pretty much covers that.

TST 7 is now sponsored by PNP Games and Strata Studios! Strata Studios will be supplying us with a special event at the tournament. It’s gonna be pretty awesome! If you guys don’t know who Strata Studios are; they are the guys who made those sweet Canada Cup vids and the documentary “100Yen”.

Hope to see you guys come out!

It’s too bad you guys got overhsadowed by one of the biggest MMs in Canadian history, but this was still a rad event!

Congrats to ShinAkuma204 for earning a spot in the team Canada Last chance qualifier!

#10

We actually didn’t mind it at all, we had broken all our previous records (attendees, stream viewers, etc etc), so to me and my crew, it was a very rad event. See you at Canada Cup!

#11

Shoutouts to Lap, Greg, Troy and all the CCG crew for sponsoring our event. Win or lose it was much appreciated.
