TvC Team Tourney at Evo

Wutsup everyone! Mr. Kevin “KBeast” Baigan here letting everyone that RoyalFlush and I are trying to run a TvC team tourney on the side at evo! 2vs2 double elimination. Details will follow, but we need to see how many people would be interested so we can hit this thing off! Depending on how many teams we get…I will add money to the pot! So post up if you want to join in on this madness!

Day: Saturday
Time: Pending
$5 buy in ($10 a team)

The way 2 vs. 2 will work will be the same format that we used at EVO2K9 for the 2 vs. 2 there:
Example: Team A+B vs. Team C+D
-Player A vs. Player C -> Player A wins
-Player B vs. Player D -> Player B wins
-Team A+B Win!

Example: Team 1+2 vs. Team 3+4
-Player 1 vs. Player 3 -> Player 1 wins
-Player 2 vs. Player 4 -> Player 4 wins
-Player 1 vs. Player 4 -> Player 4 wins
-Team 3+4 Win!

A few other rules for 2 vs. 2:
-All characters on the two-man team must be different (Team of Ryu/Chun-Li and Ryu/Megaman Volnutt = Not allowed [notice the two Ryu]; Team of Ryu/Chun-Li and Viewtiful Joe/Megaman Volnutt = OKAY! [all characters are different])
-You must stick with your characters throughout the entire tournament
-For Final Set, Team in Winner’s bracket only needs to win one set, Team coming from Losers’s bracket needs to win 2 consecutive sets

Oh this kinda takes care of what I wanted to ask you, Kevin. I’ll play. I don’t have a partner, and since I just started playing this game right after Dev, I really don’t care who I can get partnered with (if that even happens lol). I don’t think I’m too bad at it though. I’m trying to actually not use poverty combos.

I don’t know what team I’ll play though. I think I’ll do either Batsu/Ippatsu or yatter-1/polymar (I got inspired to play this game from watching K beast and RF play at dev and I really liked their characters, but I switched them up a little bit so that I wouldn’t seem like a TOTAL ****** for copying. No joke, these teams seriously work better than I thought they would).

Anyways my name is Ray. I was the really tall dude with the long hair and bandanas. I’m seeing this as a way to actually play people (since no one in az plays) haha.
