Uber Cheap PS3 Quanba Joystick

#1

I picked up one of these for the hell of it. According to reviews on the website it uses quick disconnects, so it should be easy enough to replace the stock parts. Assuming they’re complete crap it’s still really cheap once you swap in Sanwa or Seimitsu. Being made in China, the PCB has to be as generic as they come, which should get around some of the problems people have have reported with some of the Mad Catz sticks on emulators. 54 bucks for a case and PS3 compatible PCB? Hell yeah.

I would recommend not buying this if you don’t intend to replace the stock parts. The Chinese imitation Sanwa I experienced in Hong Kong made Hori look good. Really good.

Comedic complaint: Notice that the website says “free shipping.” Those liars charged me $0.01 for registered airmail.

I honestly wouldn’t trust any Chinese-made stick. They always appear to be made of ass and failure.

I’ll find out when it gets here. Based on Youtube videos for part replacement and testing, it seems pretty solid. If nothing else, it’ll work with Neo Geo emulators, which is all I want it to do. Gotta love that “Tekken” art too.

It uses Sanwa knock-offs and quick connects making it easy to mod but uses a weird button layout.

Edit: Looks like I didn’t read your first post completely as it seems like you already know all of this information.
