The end of my USB cord on my VSHG is damaged. Its working for now, but I know it will give out soon, so I’m looking into replacing the USB cord. I noticed that there’s 5 pins where the cord goes into the PCB, but an USB cable only has 4. I dont know the pin layout on the PCB, so this may cause some issues. Anyone know the pin layout for the VSHG PCB or an alternative solution for replacing the USB cord???
I believe one of the pins is just a ground to the outer shield, dig out your multimeter and test it real quick, and then just replace with any standard USB.
if you want to go all out, get a chtulu and a new usb wire.
Or… cut the cord and go wireless.:wgrin:
I think this guy is selling what your looking for?
