My computer recently stopped working. Kept getting hung up on the “verifying DMI pool”, screen. Computer shop just called and said the problem is likely my motherboard. I don’t really have the funds to buy an expensive one especially since I’ll probably end up having to buy some DDR3 ram (only have DDR2 now). And to be honest the only PC games I plan to buy in the next few years are Final Fantasy XIV and Dragon Age 2, both of which could probably run fine on my current machine.
The specs for my current machine are/were:
Geforce 8800 GTX (video card)
2.4g Core 2 duo (processor)
EVGA Nforce 780i (motherbord) EVGA nforce 780i SLI Motherboard - A1 Version, NVIDIA nForce 780i SLI, Socket 775, ATX, Audio, PCI Express 2.0, Dual Gigabit LAN, S/PDIF, USB 2.0, Firewire, Serial ATA, RAID at TigerDirect.com
4g DDR2 (ram)
I currently have 3 sata devices hooked up so something with 3 sata ports would be prefered but I could always set up a RAID I guess.
