I have an old Defender cabinet that I’ve converted into a MAME setup. I initially used all Happ sticks and buttons in it, but after using Japanese parts so long, I think I’d like to switch them out for Japanese parts since I prefer the feel of those. But I know that the thickness of my current wood panel won’t fit a Sanwa screw-in button. Just wondering how thick I can make the wood in order to securely fit them in, along with JLF sticks as well.
1/4 inch with 1/8 in acrylic is the thickest. You are better off counter sinking the nut holes in a new panel and route for joystic mounting plate
