Whats up with RPG's becoming easy towards the end?

I mean many RPG’s such Suikoden 1 and 2 and Xmen legends are very easy at the end. It dosen’t matter what the game throws at you.

Because they tune RPGs to be able to be completed at lower levels so people who don’t want to put in the time can still finish the narrative stroke of the product. They toss in bonus bosses and bonus dungeons for those who wish to keep playing long after the narrative is over.

They tune the difficulty like that on purpose.
